Job Description
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage but not mandatory
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities within agreed timelines.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Support account receivable and payable processes.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to queries.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Assist with statutory filings, tax reporting, and other regulatory compliance activities.
- Monitor accounting transactions to ensure internal controls are followed.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and shared service teams to resolve accounting issues.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and system enhancement projects as required.
Key Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, audit support, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO preferred).
- Experience working in a multinational or shared services environment is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Positive attitude, ownership mindset, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
