Job Summary:
The Security Department’s team is responsible for the safety and security of Crypto.com Arena and Peacock Theater guests, team members, and assets at all times.
This position is open to current Crypto.com Arena/Peacock Theater part-time Security Officer I's. External applications will not be considered/accepted.
Essential Functions:
Event Security Officer
- Ensure enforcement and compliance of the venue’s Event Policies at all times including oversight of visitor management, credential enforcement and Security entry screening processes.
- Assist with directional and informational inquiries.
- Take direction from Supervisors and provide direction to Officer 1’s during Emergency Response and assist guests by providing direction and feedback.
- Conduct patrols of the building on a regular basis
- Utilize radios for communicating incidents.
- Respond to all security and safety related issues in a timely manner.
- Respond to incidents and compile information for Supervisors.
- Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, without the loss of efficiency or composure.
- Use excellent customer service skills when interacting with guests, clients, and staff.
- Complete all assigned tasks within the guidelines and deadlines set by Security Managers and Supervisors.
- Comply with all legal and ethical instructions given by Event Security Managers and Supervisors.
- Ability to memorize, recollect and quickly relay relevant information when requested.
- Ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional guests and staff during intensely aggravated circumstances.
- Ability to maintain guest, team member, and company confidentiality.
- Have full knowledge of 24/7 Security Operations to include but not limited to: Ramp Procedures, Administrative Office Procedures, Command Center Procedures, Non-Event access control etc.
- Understand and operate Crypto.com Arena and Peacock Theater’s security systems (Genetec, 24/7 Incident Command, Fire Alarm System, AVTEC Dispatch, C-Cure Access Control, Visitor Management, Ramp Bollards and Access Gate, X-Ray Machine etc.).
- Fill- In for Non-Event open shifts as needed.
- Be able to be utilized as an experienced resource in a sensitive and/or high profile area/post during any event as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Staff Training
- Assist with Department hiring during the new hire orientation training by being a Coach.
- Assist with training of new Security Officers during On The Job by being a Coach.
Intradepartmental Needs
- Promote ENCORE|LA by becoming an ENCORE|LA advocate for its core principles and values.
Interdepartmental Communications
- Complete all required trainings assigned via Human Resources in a timely manner.
Time Management
- Complete Rest/Meal breaks in accordance with California Labor Laws.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Ability to perform calmly under pressure.
- Ability to provide clear communication and support to Security Team Members, Supervisors Management, Venue Tenants and Team Personnel.
- Willingness to accept greater responsibility and accountability.
- Work honestly and effectively with moderate supervision.
- Must demonstrate the ability to perform the job duties of Security Officer I.
- Must have a good record of attendance.
- Must have an active guard card.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as scheduled
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPR / AED / First Aid training
Pay Scale: $23.45
Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
