We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-onย Senior Software Engineerย to join a core engineering team and contribute to building scalable products and technology platforms from the ground up. This is a strongย individual contributorย role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, writing high-quality code, and taking ownership across the complete software development lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise inย Java, Spring Framework, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design. You will contribute to building reliable and scalable technology solutions for a fast-growing consumer fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications and backend services.
- Participate in the completeย software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through production monitoring.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into reliable and maintainable software solutions.
- Develop high-quality backend applications usingย Java and Spring Framework.
- Apply strong object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Design efficient solutions using appropriateย data structures and algorithms.
- Evaluate technical trade-offs and make sound design decisions based on scalability, performance, maintainability, and reliability.
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture and platform decisions.
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure application quality.
- Proactively identify potential bugs, edge cases, performance issues, and reliability risks before they reach production.
- Debug complex application issues and perform detailed root-cause analysis.
- Support application deployment, production releases, monitoring, and post-deployment troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and other engineering teams to deliver features end-to-end.
- Review code and contribute to engineering standards, development practices, and technical documentation.
- Identify opportunities for performance optimisation, automation, refactoring, and technical debt reduction.
- Take ownership of assigned technical initiatives and drive them through design, implementation, testing, and production delivery.
- Contribute to building scalable products and platforms suitable for high-volume consumer applications.
- Continuously learn and adopt modern software engineering practices and technologies.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 7+ years of strong individual-contributor experienceย in software engineering or backend development.
- Strong hands-on expertise inย Javaย and theย Spring Framework / Spring Bootย ecosystem.
- Excellent understanding ofย object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Proven experience designing and developing scalable backend applications and services.
- Strong understanding of design trade-offs involving performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience working across the complete software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Strong debugging skills and a proactive mindset toward identifying hidden defects and edge cases before production.
- Experience building products or platforms forย high-scale internet businesses, startups, fintech, or consumer technology environmentsย is preferred.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, clean code, design patterns, testing, and version control.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense ofย ownership, accountability, and responsibilityย for technical outcomes.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree inย Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where engineers are expected to take significant ownership and contribute beyond narrowly defined responsibilities.
