Sobre este puesto de Scrum Master en Qode
About the Role
- We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master who can independently guide agile teams through the full delivery lifecycle while acting as a trusted partner to both engineering and business stakeholders.
- You will facilitate agile ceremonies, remove delivery blockers, coach teams on Scrum/Agile best practices, and ensure smooth collaboration between developers, product owners, and clients across software projects. The role requires close collaboration with engineering teams to track progress, surface risks early, and keep delivery predictable and transparent.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint review, and retrospectives, ensuring they are focused and time-boxed.
- Track team velocity, burndown/burnup charts, cycle time, and other delivery metrics; surface risks and blockers early to keep the team on track.
- Work closely with Product Owners and client-side stakeholders to maintain a healthy, well-groomed backlog, ensure clear, actionable user stories, and provide transparent status reporting and sprint demos.
- Coach the team and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum principles, helping the team continuously improve its process maturity.
- Facilitate retrospectives that produce concrete, actionable improvement items, championing a kaizen (continuous improvement) mindset within the team.
- Identify and remove impediments to the team's progress, escalating cross-team or organizational blockers as needed.
- Coach engineering managers and leadership on Agile/Scrum values and empirical process control, supporting Agile adoption beyond the immediate team.
- In multi-team environments, coordinate dependencies and facilitate collaboration across Scrum teams (e.g., under SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus).
- Support cross-functional coordination between developers, QA, and designers.
- Maintain project artefacts: sprint plans, backlogs, retrospectives notes, and risk logs.
- Support onboarding of new team members into the team's Agile way of working.
- Protect the team from scope creep, unplanned work, and organizational interference during sprints, ensuring sprint commitments remain realistic.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master or in an Agile delivery role.
- Experience facilitating Scrum for at least 2 software development teams/projects.
- Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and when to apply each.
- Experience working directly with software development teams and participating in estimation, planning, and retrospective discussions.
- Sufficient technical understanding to follow engineering discussions and identify realistic delivery risks.
- Strong facilitation and conflict-resolution skills, with the confidence to coach both team members and stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Linear).
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to coach not just the team but also managers and stakeholders on Agile values, beyond running ceremonies.
- Business-level English and Vietnamese.
- Awareness of information security practices relevant to software delivery, including data handling and access control within Agile teams.
- Demonstrates adherence to, and promotes team compliance with, processes related to information classification, incident reporting, and project document control.
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PSM I/II, or SAFe Agilist.
- Experience working in distributed/remote cross-functional teams.
- Background supporting multiple concurrent projects or teams as Scrum Master.
- Familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus) in multi-team environments.
- Experience contributing to organization-level Agile transformation or coaching initiatives.
- What Makes You Successful in This Role
- Servant-leadership mindset with a strong sense of ownership over team health and delivery outcomes.
- Ability to balance process discipline with pragmatism and team autonomy.
- Comfortable facilitating discussions and resolving conflicts in ambiguous situations.
- Strong prioritization and escalation skills.
- Detail-focused, proactive, and coaching-oriented.
- Ability to build trust with both the delivery team and external stakeholders.
Success Metrics in the First 6 Months

- Improve sprint predictability, with committed vs. completed story points trending toward >85% consistency.
- Reduce recurring blockers/impediments through proactive identification and resolution.
- Maintain positive team health and stakeholder satisfaction feedback.
- Maintain clear backlog hygiene and transparent reporting across assigned team(s)/project(s).
