The work
The Senior SAP Project Systems Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP PS capabilities to meet complex project management and financial requirements for federal clients. This role focuses on implementing and enhancing core SAP PS structures—such as WBS, Networks, Milestones, Cost Planning, Budgeting, Material Requirements Planning, Project Quotations, and Goods Issues—while ensuring seamless integration with CO, FI, MM, SD, and PP. The consultant collaborates closely with architects, developers, technical services teams, and business stakeholders to drive functional design, testing, systems analysis, and solution delivery. This position also manages cross‑team coordination, contributes to technical specification development, and leads junior team members. It requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to operate in a structured federal project environment.

Key responsibilities:

Lead requirements‑gathering efforts and design SAP PS solutions aligned to business process needs
Configure and support SAP PS structures including WBS, Networks, Milestones, Cost Planning, Budgeting, MRP, Project Quotations, and Goods Issues
Ensure integration across CO, FI, MM, SD, and PP
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure technical solutions fully meet functional requirements
Conduct business process design and system analysis activities
Coordinate across architects, developers, BASIS, Middleware, Portal teams, and business analysts
Maintain, enhance, and develop SAP modules and related interfaces
Develop test strategies and manage large, complex testing efforts
Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical designs
Prepare programming specifications, process diagrams, and logic documentation
Support budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and work planning
Manage a team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior consultants

Here’s what you need:

7+ years SAP Project Systems experience
Team lead or supervisory experience
Experience conducting translation of business requirements into enterprise application designs
Experience preparing technical documentation and specifications

Eligibility Requirements:

US Citizens only (no dual citizenship)
Eligible to obtain a minimum of a Secret Clearance
You must live local to St. Louis, MO OR be willing to travel to St. Louis every week

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$92,700—$188,800 USD
