We’re looking for an experienced SAP Operations Lead to provide technical and operational leadership across an enterprise SAP environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring SAP systems are stable, secure, reliable and continuously improving, while working closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver effective and sustainable SAP services. This role will be based in Hobart or Melbourne - Hybrid.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Lead the technical and operational performance, governance and service delivery of the SAP environment.
• Oversee SAP application support, system performance, availability, resilience and integrations.
• Lead SAP Basis activities including upgrades, patching, transport management and system monitoring.
• Drive incident, problem and change management across SAP environments.
• Work with business stakeholders to prioritise issues, requirements and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop operational roadmaps covering SAP stability, lifecycle upgrades, capability uplift and optimisation.
• Ensure SAP operations align with cyber security, risk and compliance requirements.
• Manage third-party vendors, support contracts and service-level agreements.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, automation, performance tuning and legacy system rationalisation.
• Lead and develop the SAP Operations team, establishing strong operational standards and support processes.
• Collaborate across Applications, Infrastructure, Cyber Security and business teams to deliver reliable SAP services.

What You’ll Bring

• Significant experience supporting and operating enterprise SAP environments in a senior technical or functional role.
• Strong knowledge of SAP core modules, SAP interfaces and cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated technical leadership across SAP development, integration, security, controls and Basis.
• Experience leading SAP operations or IT service support teams.
• Strong understanding of ITIL-aligned service management practices.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and service providers.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to balance business priorities with technical stability and risk.
• A demonstrated focus on continuous improvement, change and operational excellence.
• Tertiary qualification in IT or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management experience is desirable.
