Business Development & Sales Intern
Internship Duration: 6 or 12 months
Are you interested in business development, sales, and the fast-paced world of logistics and supply chain? Join our team as a Business Development & Sales Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting customer acquisition, market research, and commercial activities across a range of industries.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development Support
- Research potential customers across key industries such as Retail (Beauty), E-commerce, Healthcare, and Wine & Spirits, FMCG, Automotive.
- Identify and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers.
- Conduct initial outreach and appointment-setting activities.
- Assist in following up on leads and customer enquiries.
Customer & Market Intelligence
- Conduct market mapping and competitor research within the logistics and supply chain industry.
- Track industry trends, customer movements, and potential business opportunities.
- Support the team in preparing customer meeting materials and presentations.
Client Management Support
- Coordinate customer meetings and maintain meeting records.
- Assist with customer follow-ups and relationship-building activities.
- Maintain and update customer-related records and activity trackers as required.
Sales Administration
- Prepare sales reports, pipeline updates, and activity trackers.
- Maintain prospect and customer databases.
- Support general administrative activities for the Sales & Client Management team.
The intern will gain exposure to:
- Logistics and supply chain solutions
- B2B sales and business development
- RFQ and tender processes
- Commercial proposal development
- Sales forecasting and pipeline management
- Cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Finance, and IT teams
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Organized, proactive, and willing to learn.
- Interest in sales, customer engagement, and the logistics industry.
