Company Overview:

About Us:
Atlanta-based Incident IQ is the leading workflow management platform built exclusively for K-12 districts. Trusted by over 2,000 districts, Incident IQ powers mission-critical services for more than 12 million students and educators nationwide. By connecting technology and operational workflows, Incident IQ enables schools to streamline processes, reduce administrative burdens, and focus on what matters most: supporting students.

Purpose:
Incident IQ is committed to creating a future where every K-12 district operates with seamless efficiency. When operations are unified on a single platform, districts gain the clarity and control needed to build a stronger foundation for student success. We’re focused on delivering the tools, support, and partnerships that help make that vision a reality.

Mission:
Incident IQ is on a mission to eliminate the friction of disconnected systems and clunky workflows that slow schools down. We’re reimagining the critical work that happens behind the scenes, bringing visibility, efficiency, and impact to the processes that keep classrooms running. By streamlining the complex, automating the routine, and surfacing the insights that matter most, we can create the conditions for educators to teach, students to thrive, and districts to shape the future of education.

Sales Engineer, Facilities Overview:

The Facilities Sales Engineer is the SE team's subject-matter expert for the Incident IQ Facilities module, combining hands-on K-12 facilities management experience (or equivalent experience with a comparable CMMS solution) with strong pre-sales skill to lead demos and strategic conversations for Facilities-focused deals. Beyond deal support, this SE serves as the voice of the Facilities market: shaping how the product roadmap evolves and representing Incident IQ at industry-specific trade shows, conferences, and user groups, and building relationships within the facilities management community.

Sales Engineer, Facilities Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery calls and demos for Facilities-focused opportunities in partnership with Account Executives, designing strategic, prospect-specific narratives for complex or high-stakes deals.
  • Serve as the SE team's subject-matter expert on the Incident IQ Facilities module, staying current on releases and roadmap and sharing that expertise with other SEs.
  • Handle Facilities-specific technical questions and objections with confidence, escalating only the most complex or competitive scenarios.
  • Provide structured input to Product and Product Marketing on Facilities feature gaps, customer pain points, and competitive positioning, informed by direct field and market experience.
  • Represent Incident IQ at industry-specific trade shows, conferences, and user group events, building relationships with prospects, customers, and industry peers to strengthen Incident IQ's credibility and presence in the Facilities market.
  • Maintain and evolve the Facilities-specific demo environment and supporting assets (e.g., Sales Showcase, demo automation).
  • Track competitive developments and market trends specific to K-12 facilities management software.
  • Communicate Facilities-specific technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical/executive audiences.

Sales Engineer, Facilities Requirements:

  • Four (4) year college degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Background in K-12 facilities management — e.g., director of facilities, maintenance and operations, or a related district-level role — or pre-sales/sales engineering experience with a comparable CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) solution.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or facilities management capacity within the K-12 market.
  • Deep working knowledge of facilities management operations and workflows (e.g., work order management, preventive maintenance, asset management).
  • Comfortable representing a company publicly at trade shows, conferences, and industry events; polished, persuasive presentation style.
  • Ability to translate field and customer insight into actionable product feedback for Product and Product Marketing teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical and operational concepts for varied audiences.
  • Highly organized and process-driven; able to manage a demanding travel schedule.
  • Demonstrated understanding of API workflows and K-12 system integration capabilities is a plus.
  • Ability to travel >50%, including regular attendance at national and regional facilities-industry trade shows and conferences.

What makes Incident IQ different:

  • We facilitate whole-person growth where employees can develop personally as well as professionally.
  • We offer an energetic and collaborative environment; everyone’s opinion matters!
  • We produce software that empowers K-12 schools to run efficiently, allowing for a better classroom experience for students to THRIVE!
  • We provide excellent work/life balance. Two amazing offices - a Downtown Atlanta office location and one at Halcyon in Alpharetta!

Incident IQ offers a competitive salary based on experience with a benefits package for full-time employees that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k match, and paid-time off (PTO).
