Brown & Brown is seeking an RV Technical Support Specialist to join our growing team.
A full-time RV Phone Technician who is skilled and empathetic to provide high-quality phone support to RV owners. You will need strong problem-solving skills and the ability to guide customers through troubleshooting common RV operational issues. A deep understanding of RV components, systems, and construction is required to provide expert-level support.
How You Will Contribute:
Answer incoming calls from customers providing clear, empathetic, and professional support over the phone.
Make outbound calls to customers in queue, service facilities, and other departments.
Effective call queue management.
Maintain a calm and patient demeanor when dealing with frustrated customers.
Guide customers through troubleshooting operational issues with their RVs.
Document customer interactions and resolutions accurately within appropriate systems.
Effectively communicate program coverage to callers and thoroughly answer any questions.
Technical troubleshooting and strong knowledge of the following: slide-out functions and leveling jacks, 110V and 12V electrical systems, including battery charging and power distribution, RV maintenance, including winterization and de-winterization, touch control systems and electronic components, refrigerators, air conditioners, stoves, furnaces, water heaters, LP gas systems, fresh/grey/black tanks, and generators.
Strong knowledge on braking systems, tires, wheels, hubs, and suspensions.
Strong knowledge and understanding of RV chassis and structural types.
Strong knowledge of gas, diesel, and electric powertrains, chassis, and drivetrains.
RV Brand & Model Expertise
Stay up to date with various RV brands, models, and configurations.
Understand differences between travel trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes (Class A, B, C), toy haulers, and camper vans.
Skills & Experience to be Successful:
Required
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and industry standard web applications
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Knowledge of RV’s and roadside assistance
Preferred
ASE/ RVTI/MFG certified or equivalent desired but not required
1-3 years’ experience in a similar position
Previous experience in the automotive or RV industry - this could be previous employment as an RV repair technician, technical support agent, service advisor, parts person, or warranty administrator.
Pay Range
20.00 - 30.00 HourlyThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
