The Runner is responsible for supporting the service team by delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately from the kitchen and bar to guests. The role ensures seamless communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams while maintaining the highest standards of service, presentation, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction expected in a luxury fine dining environment.
What you will do
Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely, professional, and organized manner.
Ensure all orders are accurate, complete, and presented according to outlet standards before leaving the kitchen or bar.
Communicate effectively with chefs and service staff regarding special requests, modifications, and dietary requirements.
Assist servers in clearing tables, resetting tables, and maintaining restaurant cleanliness.
Support the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials.
Interact with guests in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner.
Anticipate guest needs and provide assistance whenever required.
Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate concerns to the service team.
Contribute to creating memorable dining experiences through attention to detail and service excellence.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, kitchens pass, and dining areas.
Ensure proper handling of food and beverages to maintain quality standards.
Adhere to company policies, grooming standards, and luxury hospitality service expectations.
Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and departmental meetings.
What you bring
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a restaurant, luxury hotel, or fine dining environment preferred.
Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays safely.
