We are a global company with offices in London & Dublin. This role offers hands-on experience in a multi-entity finance function as it moves to automated billing, a strong foundation for a career in finance operations.

The Role

Support the revenue and billing function for a multi-entity group, from closed-won deal through to issued invoice. This is a hands-on administrative role covering order preparation, customer and billing setup, invoicing, purchase order chasing, first-line queries, and month-end and audit support.

Fixed-term contract

This is a six-month fixed-term role. We are automating our revenue and billing process, and the role exists to carry the manual workload while that automation is designed and implemented. The process will change during the contract as automated steps go live. Once the automation is in place, the manual administration this role covers will no longer be needed, so the contract will end on its expiry date and we do not expect to renew, extend or make it permanent.

In this role you will:

• Check closed-won deals have a contract, purchase order and complete billing details before processing
• Return incomplete orders to the salesperson who raised them and follow them through to resubmission
• Set up and maintain customer records, including billing addresses, contacts and payment terms
• Process orders into our finance system using the established tools and checks
• Add billing schedules and contract dates for handover projects once they start
• Issue and despatch invoices, including uploads to customer portals
• Upload invoices into our ticketing system for collections
• Chase missing purchase orders, contract dates and project start confirmations
• Maintain the master agreement tracker, matching each purchase order to the site and value it covers
• Review live projects and variations weekly and pick up those ready to bill
• Keep the billing tracker current so nothing sits unprocessed
• Run the shared billing inbox as first line, answering routine queries and routing the rest
• Answer customer and internal questions on what has been invoiced and when
• Prepare billing data and schedules to the month-end timetable
• Support audit requests

Requirements

What are we looking for?

Experience

• Six months to two years in billing, accounts receivable, sales support or similar administration, or a strong graduate with relevant placement experience
• Order-to-invoice and sales order processing
• Customer and billing setup
• Invoicing and despatch, including customer portals
• Chasing purchase orders and contract documentation
• Handling client and internal queries, working with sales, project and credit control teams
• Supporting month-end and external audit

Systems and tools

• Expected: strong Excel skills
• Desirable: NetSuite, HubSpot or Jira
• Desirable: multi-entity or multi-currency environment
• Bonus: Claude or other AI tools used in day-to-day work

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or studying (AAT, ACCA, CIMA): desirable

Key relationships

• Internal: sales and deal owners, project and handover teams, credit control, finance
• External: clients, external auditors
