The newly added 22,000-square-foot facility in Niles, Michigan will have 43 exam rooms and will house both Southwestern Medical Primary Care, Niles and Spectrum Health Lakeland Ear, Nose, and Throat providers. The $7.8 million project is expected to be completed and open to patients March 2023. This facility is a continued investment in our Niles community and the health of those we serve. It houses a range of coordinated health services from diagnostics to primary and specialty care, all in one place, allowing us to deliver care to a patient’s whole family, right in their community.

Scope of Work
The Respiratory Therapy Apprentice works under the direction of a licensed Respiratory Therapist. The Respiratory Therapy Apprentice is responsible for maintaining an appropriate level of equipment in the various respiratory work areas and assisting the Respiratory Therapists with various procedures and tasks, as directed. The Respiratory Therapy Apprentice may be responsible for performing multiple duties that require an expertise in the assembly, transport, disinfection, calibration and troubleshooting of respiratory related equipment.

Qualifications
- Required Must be actively enrolled in CoARC accredited RT program
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Healthcare Preferred
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days preferred
If you are 18 or older, have graduated High School or possess a GED, and would be interested in becoming a Respiratory Therapist and may attend Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Ivy Tech Community College, or Muskegon Community College, please apply so that we may consider you for the RT Apprentice Program
This is also a great career choice for someone with an Exercise Science Degree and willing to complete one and a half or two additional years of schooling to have a great Respiratory Care career
This is also a great Program to consider for anyone with an Associate in Science, or anyone who may have completed some Science Courses during High School or Post High School
You may also have a Part Time position at Corewell Health while attending the RT Apprentice Program, having Full Benefits, and earning a living
