- The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Coordinator performs case management core functions.
- Facilitates the patient/family’s ability to assume responsibility for managing their own health care when appropriate.
- Works in collaboration with the physicians and other health team members in coordination the rehabilitation plan of care.
- Ensures collaboration with insurance and managed care companies to help obtain and/or maintain provider status and adequate reimbursement for services.
- Acts as a resource to members of the health care team in providing patient, family, and staff with information regarding diagnosis, treatments, and therapeutic trends in specialty area.
- Reviews the requirements for Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation Program Certification and implements processes to meet the Certification requirements within one year of program implementation.
- Should be able to perform duties of the Pulmonary Lab Respiratory Therapist.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree
Licensure Requirement:
Current Ohio license to practice care
Certifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care required.
Additional credential of RPFT and AE-C are strongly encouraged.
