Job Description:
Position Summary
The Repair Ordering Officer executes day-to-day transactional, technical, and administrative processing of Repair Orders within Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS). The jobholder is primarily responsible for the on-time creation and revision of Repair Orders, operating the team inbox Kuala Lumpur Repair Ordering (KULROO), maintaining aircraft data and utilization records in FHS Management Information System (MIS), and supporting unserviceable blockage root-cause resolutions within his/her scope. Additionally, the role provides operational support for Repair Order Blockages (ROB), task closures, and team training routines.
Primary Responsibilities
Repair Order Operations
- Responsible for the on-time creation of Repair Orders (RO) and closure of Repair Order Blockages (ROB) to maintain fleet flow within target window
- Maintain and update operational tracking files as a single source of truth to monitor workload volumes, track operational performance and ensure real-time visibility of repair order management.
- Manage the KULROO inbox mail by analyzing ad-hoc customer and operational requests, providing prompt technical support within Repair Ordering scope.
- Revise Repair Order based on customer requirements, including amending Part Numbers, Serial Numbers, removal reasons, and ageing data for Time-Controlled Items following defined checklists
- Ensure transactional data processing and order alignment for ad-hoc tasks, projects, retrofit modification and specialized campaigns
- Perform routine RO Quality Control through monthly analysis
- Perform non-standard Repair Order regularizations and system alignments to ensure continuous operational compliance and accuracy.
- Manage the administrative closure of delivery tasks, including drop-shipment repair orders and supplier loan closures.
MIS Data Governance
- Maintain accurate aircraft configuration records in FHS MIS based on customer portal inputs and engineering technical documentation
- Update aircraft utilization figures (Flight Hours and Flight Cycles) in FHS MIS, ensuring rigorous adherence to standard operating procedures and individual data-entry precision.
- Execute the resolution of standard abnormal situations, coordinating with stakeholders across the FHS community to ensure complete clearing of abnormal statuses
Root-Cause Analysis and Process Improvement
- Log and flag recurring drivers of blockages during RO creation
- Review operational ways of working based on root-cause findings, propose updates to KUL RO documentation and working checklists, and contribute to local continuous improvement plans
- Contribute to training materials, operational checklists, and refresher sessions.
Operational Backup
- Support technical investigations on Repair Order inaccuracies, via Component Incident Management (CIM) Card or Practical Problem Solving (PPS) and gathering data on root causes to resolve system anomalies and prevent recurring data errors.
- Support the training of newcomers and subcontractors
- Support automation initiatives
Outputs
- Timely creation, revision, and blockage clearing of Repair Orders, accompanied by resolution of KULROO inbox requests within target
- High data-entry accuracy and zero administrative defects in assigned aircraft configurations, utilization updates (FH/FC), and resolved abnormal MIS cases
- Updated KUL RO operational checklists, and accurate daily action trackers and monitoring files
Qualification & Professional Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or Aviation related fields
- 2 years of experience in Aviation Supply Chain, Logistics, MRO, or Order Management
- Clear understanding of repair ordering workflows, order blockage resolution, and goods receipt procedures
- Familiarity with aircraft configuration tracking and aircraft component ageing data
- Familiarity with Flight Hour Services (FHS) operational schemes or similar Power-by-the-Hour (PBH) support models
- Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning systems and operational reporting tools
- Familiarity with visual management tools and daily operational steering frameworks (e.g., SQCDP dashboards)
