Group/Division

The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. The Measurement, Analytics and Control (MACH) division is KLA’s software powerhouse, responsible for developing high-performance software platforms that support semiconductor manufacturing. MACH delivers cutting-edge technologies in patterning analytics, modeling, and data science—empowering chipmakers to ramp next-gen devices faster and more efficiently. The MACH Division at KLA is a global leader in semiconductor analytics, simulation, and process optimization. We deliver cutting-edge solutions that empower fabs to achieve higher yield, better process control, and faster innovation cycles.

What We Do: MACH is the centralized data hub for analysis and simulations in semiconductor fabrication. Our portfolio includes:

Core Technologies:

• Runtime overlay control and indirect overlay metrology.
• Advanced modeling engines for stochastic defect prediction.
• Automated defect classification using SEM and optical inspection images.
• Design-based detection, classification, and measurement workflows 

 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for various pre and post sales application support activities.
• The candidate will have the ability to work with a customer team at customer sites to conduct investigations, gather and analyze data, understand root causes of process errors, and develop and implement process control solutions to reduce killer defects and improve yield.
• Engaging with customers in defining problem statements, resolving customer issues, generating best known method (BKM) documents and other training material
• This engineer is expected to work with customers to publish papers at industry symposiums or in technical journals.
• Projects related to new product introduction: definition, characterization, alpha testing, beta testing, evaluation and customer use case development
• Coworking with engineering team to define software new features, bug fixing and engaging in roadmap design
• Learn new tasks and adapt to change, establish priorities, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have semiconductor process control or applications experience
• Familiar in chip manufacture process, metrology/defect related error and solution
• The candidate must be self-driven, yet a strong team player. 
• The candidate must have good oral and written communication skill in English, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Software development and scripting skills are a plus. 
• Travel to customer sites are required.
