The Global Continuous Improvement Leader is responsible for building and sustaining problem-solving and continuous improvement capability across FCSS. The role establishes common methods, develops qualified practitioners, coaches teams, screens quality issues for impact, and ensures improvement efforts are focused on the highest business and customer risks.

The role serves as the global coach, standard-setter, and escalation support for structured problem solving. The position enables sites and functions to solve problems effectively rather than becoming the owner of every site issue, and works closely with Quality Operations, QMS Governance, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, and Site Quality leaders.

As a Global Continuous Improvement Leader, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the global FCSS continuous improvement and structured problem-solving strategy across New Equipment, and Aftermarket manufacturing sites.

• Establishing, standardize, and sustain practical problem-solving methods, including 3C, root cause analysis, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.

• Developing and deliver global training for Quality leaders, practitioners, and cross-functional teams in problem solving, root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement methods.

• Owning the FCSS problem-solving certification framework, including competency requirements, qualification criteria, assessments, certification records, and ongoing practitioner development.

• Coaching Site Quality Leaders, RCA leaders, project teams, and cross-functional teams through complex or high-impact problems while building local ownership and capability.

• Leading impact screening and prioritization for ATS, NCR, cost of quality (COQ), customer escaping defects, and other significant quality events to determine the appropriate level of investigation, leadership engagement, and escalation.

• Ensuring high-impact issues receive effective containment, clear problem definition, evidence-based root cause analysis, actions linked to verified causes, and documented effectiveness checks.

• Monitoring problem-solving quality, cycle time, recurrence, action closure, and effectiveness trends; use data to identify systemic gaps and target improvement priorities.

• Facilitating or sponsor cross-functional Kaizen events and improvement initiatives focused on defect prevention, process capability, customer impact, cost reduction, and predictable execution.

• Promoting lessons learned, best-practice sharing, and cross-site replication while partnering with Quality Operations and QMS Governance to embed sustainable improvements into standard work and the Quality Management System.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Quality, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• Have proven experience in Quality, Lean, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, or Business Excellence.

• Have demonstrated deep experience in structured problem solving, root cause analysis, corrective action, effectiveness verification, Kaizen, and capability development.

• Have experience designing and delivering training, certification, coaching, and practitioner development programs.

• Have demonstrated the ability to screen complex quality events, prioritize risk, and determine the appropriate depth of investigation and escalation.

• Be able to analyze operational, customer, and cost-of-quality data and translate insights into focused improvement priorities.

• Have demonstrated the ability to lead global, cross-functional programs and influence sustainable change without relying solely on direct authority.

• Possess strong facilitation, coaching, oral and written communication, executive presence, and influential leadership skills.

• Be able to travel globally to support sites, training, coaching, Kaizen events, and high-impact problem-solving activities.
