Hearth Australia is seeking an experienced Quality Improvement and Compliance Manager to join our Quality team who will lead our accreditation, governance, and continuous improvement functions across the organisation.
In this pivotal role, you will set and uphold standards for compliance, safety, and continuous improvement while shaping a culture of quality and accountability across both head office and support teams.
You will be primarily based in our Glen Iris office, with occasional travel required to our other Hearth offices and participant locations when required
What You’ll Lead and Drive in your role:
- Oversee accreditation programs, internal audits, and quality management systems.
- Drive compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, Safeguards Commission requirements, OHS legislation, and organisational policies.
- Lead risk assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, and safeguarding frameworks.
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and Commission submissions.
- Coordinate reportable incidents, restrictive practices, and behaviour support compliance.
- Build a culture of quality, safety, clinical excellence, and workforce capability.

Requirements
Our Key Selection Criteria for the role:
- Proven experience in a Senior Quality, Governance or Compliance role
- Qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Nursing or related field
- Experience in NDIS, Aged Care or Community Services
Strong knowledge of:
- NDIS Practice Standards
- High Intensity Support Skill Descriptors
- Implementing behaviour support plans and restrictive practices
- Child Safe Standards
- Human rights-based frameworks
- Proactive, resilient and solutions-focused
- Collaborative and confident in working with multidisciplinary teams
- Clinical governance and quality system leadership
- Risk management, incident oversight and OHS leadership
- Strong planning, documentation and stakeholder management
- Ability to influence, train, and uplift standards across teams
Mandatory requirements
- Relevant degree in health, disability or related disciplines
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or the willingness to obtain one
- Australian working rights
- Two professional references
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team
