Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to lead and coordinate the company's quality activities across subcontractors and suppliers in Israel and internationally. The role is responsible for supplier qualification, continuous product and process improvement, and ensuring end-to-end product quality.
This position includes close collaboration with local and global subcontractors, electronic and mechanical assembly lines, and ownership of implementing a strong quality culture throughout manufacturing and shipping operations.
Responsibilities include ensuring workforce qualification at subcontractor sites (including work instructions, training, preventive and corrective actions, and audits), reviewing and approving production deviations, defining quality improvement KPIs and monitoring their implementation, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, monitoring engineering change implementation, ensuring the latest product revisions are used in manufacturing, participating in reliability and regulatory compliance activities, and generating quality performance reports for both operations and subcontractors.
The role involves extensive cross-functional collaboration throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Quality Management
- Lead quality assurance activities across electronic and mechanical manufacturing and assembly lines.
- Define quality gates, inspection checkpoints, and manufacturing quality control processes.
- Drive implementation of quality standards throughout production.
- Lead, monitor, and audit electronic (EMS) and mechanical contract manufacturers.
- Qualify suppliers and subcontractors and approve manufacturing processes.
- Conduct supplier quality audits and drive continuous supplier performance improvement.
- Lead engineering investigations to identify root causes of manufacturing and product quality issues.
- Analyze quality data and failure trends.
- Define, implement, and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA, 8D, 5-Why).
- Initiate and lead process improvement projects.
- Reduce scrap rates and improve First Time Yield (FTY).
- Establish quality KPIs and monitor improvement initiatives.
- Support product transfers from R&D to manufacturing.
- Define quality requirements during engineering documentation.
- Review and approve manufacturing documentation, assembly packages, and product release.
- Monitor engineering change implementation and ensure the latest revisions are used in production.
- Ensure personnel competency at subcontractor facilities through training programs, work instructions, audits, and preventive actions.
- Review, approve, and monitor production deviations and non-conformances.
- Participate in product reliability and regulatory compliance activities.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports for management, operations, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and external suppliers.

Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer in a hardware manufacturing environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience working with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of quality management standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Deep understanding of electronic manufacturing processes, including PCB, PCBA, SMT, and IPC standards.
- Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal, enclosures, painting/coating, complex mechanical assemblies, tolerancing, and fits.
- Proven experience leading Root Cause Analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions using methodologies such as CAPA, 8D, and 5-Why.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives independently.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
- Experience with ERP and PLM systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of operational and logistics processes.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer-oriented skills.
- Professional assertiveness and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken (mandatory).
