JOB SUMMARY:

As part of the Trace3xpereince Program, the Project Operations Specialist Tracer (Intern) will learn the end to end administration of professional services engagements including client billing functions, vendor PO management and bill processing. The Project Operations Specialist will have a chance to work closely with Client Experience Leaders on internal projects to drive operational efficiencies. Tracers in this program will receive accelerated professional development, IT industry exposure, world-class mentoring, and a unique networking opportunity across the organization.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN:

• Learn how to review and validate a Statement of Work (SOW), Level of Effort (LOE) and/or Purchase Order (PO)
• Complete project set-up within Finance & Operations systems and ensure the project financials are accurate based on the governing contract
• Generate vendor POs and process vendor bills associated with professional Services engagements
• Work with Project Managers and account teams to generate client invoices
• Complete project closure procedures including reconciliation of financials
• Learn how to build relationships with internal teams, sales, and outside vendors
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Client Experience Leaders execute on operational initiatives

ELIGIBILITY AND PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Enrollment in the Junior or Senior year of an undergraduate or graduate degree program, at an accredited college or university
• Candidates should be pursuing a field of study applicable to the Purchasing Specialist Internship
• Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or better; People and Organizational Health may require a copy of the applicant’s transcript
• Academic or professional/internship experience working in a professional setting is a plus
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and accepts direction on given assignments
• Self-motivated individuals with a customer mindset and desire to help people
• Enthusiasm for technical problem solving, with attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Ability to learn and research in a dynamic and engaging environment
• Availability to work 20 to 40 hours per week throughout the internship

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the standard duties of this job, the employee can expect light physical exertion with long periods of sitting, occasional standing and walking; limited bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; occasional lifting/moving of items up to 25 pounds. Hearing and speech communication in person and over the telephone is essential to fulfilling the duties of this position.  Specific vision abilities required to read printed materials and a computer screen; including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently surrounded by other employees and their conversations on the telephone and in person.  The noise level and indoor office temperature may vary.
