About This Role
When a wind energy project moves into execution, the work behind the scenes — getting the right resources, the right parts, and the right paperwork in place — is what keeps everything moving. As a Project Buyer and Resource Administrator at GE Vernova, you sit at the intersection of sourcing, project delivery, and people coordination. You'll support project teams from execution through closeout, lead a small team, and be the primary point of contact between sourcing and project stakeholders. Your work directly enables GE Vernova's onshore wind and renewable energy projects to be delivered on time and on budget.
This is a high-ownership role that calls for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.

Job Description

What You'll Do

• Collect project resource requirements, initiate purchase requisitions (PRs), and track purchase order (PO) quantities and timelines — ensuring all due processes are followed before any PO is raised.

• Manage PO validity, reconcile POs with vendors and project teams during project closeout, and independently represent the business in external audits for basis of purchase.

• Serve as the primary point of contact (SPOC) between the sourcing team and project teams — tracking cost variances and providing regular updates to the proposals team on procurement expenditure.

• Oversee the administrative management of outsourced technical advisors — including coordinating with external agencies for hiring, induction, exits, and insurance claims.

• Manage a small warehouse setup for project spares: receive, maintain, and track inventory — and independently support annual audits covering both purchases and spares inventory.

• Lead and develop a small team, managing day-to-day priorities and ensuring process compliance across procurement and resource administration activities.

Required

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

• 11–15 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, and resource administration within project installation, commissioning, Balance of Plant (BoP), or related project execution environments.

• Hands-on experience in the onshore wind or renewable energy sector, with a solid understanding of project execution activities and the full project lifecycle.

• Demonstrated experience managing project closeout independently — including working with external stakeholders and handling audit queries and closures without supervision.

• Willingness to travel and work from project sites when required.

Preferred

• Postgraduate qualification is preferrable.

• Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP or Oracle for procurement and inventory management.

• Prior experience leading or supervising a small team.
