Job Title:

Professional, BI Analyst (TCF)

Job Description

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to be the analytics partner for our local business — the person the team turns to when they need to know what happened, what is about to happen, and what to do about it.

This is a hybrid position by design. Day to day, you sit with the local business: building and maintaining the dashboards they rely on, surfacing trends before they become surprises, and translating numbers into recommended actions. At the same time, you work as part of the Global BI team, which owns the data platform, the shared data models, and the reporting standards. Your job is to keep those two worlds connected — so that when the business changes, the data infrastructure changes with it, and when the global platform changes, local reporting keeps running without disruption.

Success in this role is not measured by the number of dashboards produced. It is measured by whether the business makes better and faster decisions because you are here.

Turn data into insight

  • Monitor performance against targets and highlight trends, anomalies, and inflection points proactively, rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Perform root-cause and driver analysis to explain why a metric moved, not just that it moved.
  • Identify emerging risks — pipeline gaps, margin erosion, demand shifts, service or cost outliers — early enough for the business to act.
  • Translate findings into clear, specific, prioritized recommendations, with an honest read on confidence and what further data would sharpen the answer.
  • Present to local leadership in plain business language; tailor depth to the audience.

Build and maintain reporting the business trusts

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and self-service reports covering core commercial and operational KPIs.
  • Own the full lifecycle of local reporting assets: requirements gathering, build, testing, documentation, rollout, and retirement of what is no longer used.
  • Maintain data quality and reconciliation checks so reported numbers match the source of truth; investigate and resolve discrepancies at the root cause rather than patching the output.
  • Keep documentation current — metric definitions, calculation logic, refresh schedules, and known limitations.

Partner with the business

  • Act as the first point of contact for local analytics and reporting requests; triage, scope, and prioritize them against business impact.
  • Sit close to the commercial, operations, and finance teams to understand how the business actually works, not only how it is represented in the data.
  • Challenge requests constructively — clarify the decision behind the ask, and propose a better route when a requested report will not answer the real question.
  • Coach business users toward self-service so routine questions do not require a ticket.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and self-service reports covering core commercial and operational KPIs.

Connect local and global

  • Represent local business requirements to the Global BI team: new data sources, metric changes, market-specific logic, and reporting gaps.
  • Track upstream changes — data model updates, platform migrations, definition changes, release schedules — and assess the local impact before they land.
  • Plan and execute the local side of migrations, upgrades, and refactors so that reporting continuity is maintained and users experience no unplanned downtime or silent breakage.
  • Adopt and apply global standards for data modelling, naming, security, and visualization; flag where a genuine local exception is warranted and make the case for it.
  • Contribute local solutions back to the global team where they can be reused in other markets.

Manage change and continuity

  • Maintain a clear inventory of local reporting assets, their owners, dependencies, and business criticality.
  • Update reporting logic when the business changes — new products, new structures, restatements, reorganizations — and communicate the impact on historical comparability.
  • Document handover-ready runbooks so critical reporting is not dependent on any single person.
  • Communicate proactively about outages, delays, and known data issues, including what is being done and by when.

Required

  • 3+ years in a BI, data analyst, or reporting role, ideally supporting commercial or operational functions.
  • Strong SQL — able to write, read, and optimize queries against large, imperfect datasets independently.
  • Hands-on expertise in at least one enterprise BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik), including data modelling and performance tuning, not just chart building.
  • Solid grasp of data modelling concepts (dimensional modelling, fact/dimension design, granularity, slowly changing dimensions).
  • Demonstrated ability to move from a raw business question to a defensible answer with a clear recommendation.
  • Excellent communication skills: you can explain a technical constraint to a business stakeholder and a business nuance to an engineer, and be understood by both.
  • Comfortable working across time zones with a distributed team, and self-directed enough to make progress without daily supervision.
  • Business fluency in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a matrixed or multi-country organization with central/local reporting structures.

  • Python or R for analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with a modern cloud data stack (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift) and transformation tooling such as dbt.
  • Version control (Git) and experience working within a release or change-management process.
  • Exposure to forecasting, cohort, or statistical analysis.
