Why This Job Exists
This role exists to lead the team and the DTG printers through a full production shift — keeping quality high, orders on schedule, and the operation running smoothly. You are accountable for the team's output, the printers' performance, and the environment they work in. When something goes wrong with a machine or a schedule, you are the person who figures it out and keeps things moving.
Requirements
What You Know and Have Done
- You have at least one year of supervisory experience in a distribution center or production environment.
- You effectively use MS Office, especially Excel; working knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- You have accurate counting skills and natural mechanical aptitude — you are comfortable troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
- You are able to stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, push, and pull continuously, lift 30-50 pounds frequently, and use a stair ladder to retrieve overstock items.
What You'll Do
- You work with the Director of Production to identify priority tasks and provide clear direction to your team throughout the shift.
- You lead the team to meet and exceed quality standards, ensuring print quality is continuously maintained across all DTG printers.
- You troubleshoot and resolve machine issues on state-of-the-art DTG digital printers, and report all equipment issues to the Director of Production.
- You schedule staff according to production needs, including overtime when necessary, and ensure orders are completed and shipped according to the production schedule.
- You are accountable for the smooth operation of the shift — communicating issues to Management immediately and clearly.
- You ensure end-of-shift housekeeping responsibilities are completed and maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment.
- You document and report all injuries to Management within 24 hours.
