Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with:

• Defining and executing product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for enterprise-scale technology products and platforms.
• Leading end-to-end product lifecycle management from ideation and prioritization through delivery and continuous improvement.
• Partnering with senior business, architecture, engineering, and operations leaders to deliver measurable business value.
• Managing and prioritizing product backlogs while balancing customer needs, business objectives, technology investments, and risk reduction.
• Leading large-scale technology transformation initiatives involving APIs, microservices, cloud-native platforms, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integrations.
• Driving product and platform decisions related to scalability, resilience, performance, security, and technical debt management.
• Establishing product success metrics, KPIs, and data-driven insights to optimize product performance and customer outcomes.
• Managing complex stakeholder environments and influencing strategic decisions across business and technology organizations.
• Leading dependency management, release planning, governance, and risk mitigation activities across multiple teams and delivery streams.
• Championing Agile, DevSecOps, and Product Operating Model practices to improve delivery effectiveness and product quality.
• Strong understanding of modern technology architecture patterns, including cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, integration technologies, and event-driven systems.
• Experience presenting product strategies, investment cases, and delivery outcomes to executive leadership and senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to balance customer value, business priorities, operational excellence, compliance requirements, and technology modernization.
