Sobre este puesto de Product Lead, Platform & Enterprise -Sureel AI en Wmg
A little bit about our team
Sureel AI is building the standards and infrastructure for AI rights, licensing, attribution, protection, and intelligence, starting in music and expanding across media.
We are building the infrastructure that enables creators and rightsholders to control how their work is used by AI, protect their rights, understand its use and value, and participate in new AI licensing models. At the same time, we provide AI companies and digital platforms with the systems required to access rights, permissions, attribution, guardrails, reporting, and licensing infrastructure programmatically.
Acquired by Warner Music Group, Sureel operates as an independent, federated company combining startup speed with the reach of a global music company.
We are now looking for a senior, highly hands-on product leader to turn our technology, commercial strategy, partner requirements, and industry vision into a coherent enterprise platform.
Your role
You will own the product direction and execution of the full Sureel stack, working closely with leadership, Engineering, AI, Business Development & Licensing, Client Relations, and our partners.
This is a hands-on product leadership role.
You will set product strategy and priorities, but you will also personally conduct customer discovery, talk to clients, research the market, write product requirements, map workflows, review designs, analyze usage, test products, work directly with engineers, and drive capabilities from concept through adoption.
You will help answer the core product questions that determine Sureel's future:
- What should we build?
- What should we not build?
- What needs to become scalable platform infrastructure?
- What should remain configurable or customer-specific?
- What do enterprises need in order to deploy Sureel at scale?
- How should commercial and licensing models translate into actual product workflows?
- How do we turn partner feedback into a coherent product rather than a collection of bespoke features?
You will operate as the bridge between business strategy, customer needs, technology, and execution, ensuring Sureel builds products that customers adopt, use, and rely on.
Here you'll get to
- Own product strategy and roadmap across the full Sureel stack, translating company goals, commercial opportunities, customer needs, and technical capabilities into clear priorities.
- Be deeply involved with customers and partners, including labels, publishers, PROs/CMOs, artists, AI companies, DSPs, and other industry participants, to understand their workflows, problems, requirements, and priorities firsthand.
- Lead continuous product discovery, including customer interviews, market research, competitive research, workflow analysis, prototype testing, and structured feedback gathering.
- Turn commercial and licensing concepts into scalable product capabilities, working closely with Business Development & Licensing to ensure new deal structures can be executed through Sureel's technology.
- Build enterprise-grade products, thinking beyond individual features into administration, permissions, roles, bulk workflows, APIs, integrations, auditability, reporting, configurability, security, reliability, and operational scalability.
- Define what becomes core platform infrastructure, what should be configurable, what requires an integration, and what should remain a bespoke exception.
- Write and own product requirements, including PRDs, user journeys, workflows, success metrics, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and implementation priorities.
- Work directly with Engineering and AI teams throughout development, answering product questions, resolving trade-offs, removing ambiguity, testing functionality, and ensuring the shipped product solves the intended problem.
- Partner closely with Client Relations to understand onboarding friction, adoption barriers, partner feedback, and opportunities to deepen usage across the platform.
- Analyze product usage and partner behavior to understand what is working, where customers struggle, and where additional investment can create the greatest value.
- Drive products through the entire lifecycle, from research and concept definition through development, launch, adoption, iteration, and expansion.
- Establish product discipline and governance, including roadmap reviews, prioritization frameworks, product principles, decision-making processes, and clear mechanisms for evaluating new requests.
- Define measurable outcomes for product investments, focusing on adoption, activation, customer value, commercial impact, operational efficiency, technical performance, and strategic importance rather than simply features shipped.
- Identify patterns across customer requests and market developments, distinguishing individual requests from broader signals that should shape Sureel's platform or industry strategy.
- Ensure Sureel's product architecture can support emerging industry frameworks and standards, so rights, licensing, permissions, attribution, and reporting can increasingly be executed programmatically.
- Create clarity across teams, ensuring leadership, Engineering, AI, Commercial, Client Relations, and Marketing understand what we are building, why we are building it, and how success will be measured.
- Help shape the future product organization as Sureel grows, including identifying where additional product, design, research, or operational resources are required.
What success looks like:
You will help Sureel evolve from a collection of individual capabilities into a coherent enterprise platform.
Success means:
- Customers can understand and adopt the Sureel platform.
- Enterprise partners can onboard and operate at scale.
- Commercial agreements translate into repeatable product workflows.
- Product priorities reflect customer value and company strategy.
- Partner requests are evaluated consistently rather than driving reactive development.
- Engineering receives clear, validated requirements.
- Customer discovery continuously informs the roadmap.
- Manual workflows become scalable product capabilities.
- Product investments have measurable outcomes.
- Product adoption grows across existing partner relationships.
- Sureel has a clear product strategy, roadmap, and operating discipline.
Who you are:
- You are an experienced product leader who has built enterprise B2B software, platforms, infrastructure, APIs, or technically complex products.
- You have strong product judgment and remain deeply hands-on. You can set strategy, interview a customer, write requirements, review a workflow, and test a product yourself.
- You have personally owned products from discovery through launch and adoption.
- You are strong at customer discovery and know how to uncover the underlying problem rather than simply accepting a feature request.
- You know how to translate complex business models, workflows, and customer requirements into scalable product systems.
- You are comfortable working with technical teams and discussing APIs, data models, integrations, AI systems, infrastructure, and technical trade-offs.
- You understand enterprise product requirements and how they differ from consumer products.
- You are commercially minded and understand how product decisions connect to customer value, adoption, strategic advantage, and business outcomes.
- You know how to distinguish between solving one customer's problem and building a capability that belongs in the platform.
- You are comfortable operating with incomplete information and creating structure in a fast-changing category.
- You communicate clearly across technical, commercial, customer, and executive audiences.
- You enjoy working in a small startup where product leadership means doing the work yourself.
We’d love it if you also had:
- Experience building products in media, music, rights management, licensing, payments, marketplaces, compliance, or creator platforms.
- Experience with multi-sided platforms or ecosystems involving different stakeholder groups.
- Experience building products for large enterprises with complex organizational structures and workflows.
- Experience with AI or machine-learning products, APIs, developer infrastructure, or data-intensive platforms.
- Experience translating contracts, pricing models, or business rules into product capabilities.
- Experience as an early product hire or product leader who helped build product practices from scratch.
- Experience working directly with C-level executives and translating company strategy into product execution.
- Curiosity about the intersection of AI, technology, intellectual property, and the creative industries.
