Job Description:

Ariens Company is seeking a motivated and passionate Process Technician that will provide support for production assembly lines and operations personnel, focusing on maximizing employee safety, product quality, delivery and productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.  

  • Pay:  Starts at $24/hour + $4,000 sign on bonus

  • Schedule & Shift:  Monday - Thursday (4 days x 10 hours); 5AM-3PM with overtime as needed

THE DAY TO DAY…

  • Safety, quality, and standard work: Live and promote the Ariens Core Values and 15 Principles; wear required personal protective equipment; conduct process and torque audits; update standard work and supporting documentation; and participate in safety and ergonomics improvement activities.

  • Process improvement: Lead and facilitate daily improvements, analyze assembly line processes using time studies and line / process balancing; support the continuous improvement log process; identify and implement value analysis / value engineering projects; and recommend improvements that reduce waste, improve flow, and strengthen productivity and delivery.

  • Tooling, fixtures, and equipment: Identify, implement, audit, and troubleshoot tooling and fixtures; submit maintenance and SAFA requests when support is needed; and help resolve line issues that affect safety, quality, delivery, or productivity.

  • New products, layouts, and technology: Support new line layouts and setups, new technology integration, Production Verification builds, Design Verification builds, and production control system changes that impact assembly operations.

  • Training and team support: Train and develop team members to embrace a safe, continuous improvement mindset, communicate process changes clearly, and partner with operations personnel to sustain improvements on the line.

THE QUALIFICATIONS…

  • Required qualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to communicate effectively verbally & in writing; ability to plan, coordinate, and implement projects of varying size and scope; ability to utilize computer for communication and data reporting, and ability to work with a variety of people in a manufacturing environment.

  • Preferred qualifications: Technical degree; experience using lean principles to drive continuous improvement; and moderate or above computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

THE WORK ENVIRONMENT…

  • Physical requirements: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day, use hands to position parts, lift up to 35 pounds at varying frequencies, manipulate hand tools, and wear required personal protective equipment.

  • Work style: Desire for personal development and growth, willingness to collaborate as part of a team, and ability to support continuous improvement in a production environment.
