Education & Experience

Required:

• Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Emergency Management, or related field.

• 0-2 years of experience in human resources, recruiting, employee administration, business administration, customer service, or a related field.

Incident Command System (ICS) Training

Required prior to hire (proof required):

• IS-100.c – Introduction to Incident Command System

• IS-200.b – ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents

• IS-700.b – National Incident Management System (NIMS)

• IS-800.c – National Response Framework

Key Responsibilities

• Support employee onboarding, orientation, and ongoing HR needs.

• Maintain accurate, confidential personnel records and HR documentation.

• Support HR communications, reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance activities.

• Assist with employee training, development, engagement, and recognition initiatives.

• Support HR projects, process improvements, and departmental initiatives.

• Provide administrative and operational support to the Personnel Management Department.

• Maintain confidentiality and handle employee information in a professional and appropriate manner.

• Perform other duties as assigned based of departmental needs.

Physical, Operational & Availability Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more and assist with loading and unloading cargo and response equipment.

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and operate in physically demanding environments

• Ability to use multiple communication systems (cellular, radio, satellite)

Professional & Compliance Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

• Successful completion of required background checks and drug screenings upon hire and on a random basis during employment
