SEI is seeking a Privacy Analyst to join its global Privacy Office and help advance the firm's privacy, data governance, and regulatory compliance programs.
The Privacy Analyst is a member of the legal department and will work closely with compliance, operational, technology, information security, third-party risk management, and business stakeholders to support the responsible use, protection, and governance of personal, confidential, and proprietary information across SEI's operations.
This role is designed for someone who is eager to learn and grow in a fast paced, heavily regulated, international organization. The Privacy Analyst will have the opportunity to build privacy knowledge and develop practical skills on the job while gaining exposure to international privacy law, enterprise data governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and emerging artificial intelligence governance requirements within a supportive, business-aligned privacy program.
What You Will Do:
Support Privacy Governance and Compliance
- Help implement and support SEI’s data privacy program across international business units.
- Help communicate, promote, and enforce controls related to data access, classification, retention, and minimization.
- Build relationships with business stakeholders to understand business operations and practical implications of privacy requirements.
- Review how personal, confidential, and proprietary information is acquired, used, stored, and shared in connection with business operations, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with assessing data processing activities, identifying privacy compliance obligations, and providing practical guidance to business and technology stakeholders.
- Develop and apply knowledge of U.S. privacy and financial services regulatory frameworks, including CCPA, CPRA, GLBA, and SEC Regulation S-P.
- Support compliance efforts under international privacy frameworks, including but not limited to the GDPR and PIPEDA.
- Remain current on developments in privacy, data protection, and related regulatory requirements.
Support Privacy Assessments and Documentation
- Work with business stakeholders to draft and maintain Records of Processing Activities.
- Triage and draft Data Protection Impact Assessments, Privacy Impact Assessments, and vendor assessments for review by Chief Privacy Officer.
- Help develop and track remediation recommendations arising from privacy assessments, business reviews, and governance activities.
- Triage privacy and data governance related requests from international stakeholders throughout the business.
Partner Across the Enterprise
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Third-Party Vendor Management, Technology, Operations, and business unit stakeholders to understand the practical implications of the privacy program.
- Support the Chief Privacy Officer in discussions with subject matter experts regarding privacy compliance objectives and program enhancements.
- Facilitate working sessions and group discussions focused on privacy governance, data inventories, data storage locations, and business process improvements.
- Help business units and technical teams incorporate privacy controls and procedures into their processes while maintaining clear business ownership for remediation activities and outcomes.
- Build productive relationships that support enterprise-wide adoption of SEI's privacy and data governance practices.
Support Strategic Program Development
- Take ownership of assigned privacy initiatives and coordinate designated workstreams.
- Exercise sound judgment in prioritizing tasks and making recommendations aligned with SEI's privacy strategy.
- Triage and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Prepare practical recommendations to improve privacy compliance, data governance, and operational effectiveness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of SEI's privacy program through thoughtful analysis, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to project manage while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
What We Would Like From You:
- Experience supporting privacy, security, data governance, compliance, risk management, information governance, information security, regulatory, or related programs or initiatives.
- Experience supporting or facilitating meetings, cross-functional workshops, or similar activities involving collaboration and coordination of stakeholders with different backgrounds.
- Experience working in financial services, investment management, fintech, or another regulated industry.
- Experience producing standardized process maps, including current-state and future-state process documentation.
- Knowledge of privacy and data protection laws and frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA, GLBA, SEC Regulation S-P, PIPEDA, and related requirements.
