What you will do

Lead Tech Ops Process Science agenda across multiple pharmaceutical products platforms, driving innovation, industrialization, process excellence, and technology deployment. This role is responsible for shaping manufacturing capabilities, supporting business growth through innovation, and partnering with regional and global stakeholders to develop scalable, sustainable, and competitive manufacturing solutions. The scope of work includes base business execution (INV/CAPA, troubleshooting, Rapid Response initiatives), life cycle management (technology transfers, cost reduction, efficiency improvement) and strategic projects (new technologies, network optimization, innovation, and digitization). The individual will drive work execution and decision making that is grounded in strong technical analysis, business orientation and compliance with Regulatory requirements and Corporate Quality standards. This position also requires management of a group of scientists.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop process science talents across multiple technologies for liquids, solids and semi-solids products, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

• Drive the development, scale-up, and implementation of pharmaceutical technologies aligned with business strategy and long-term manufacturing roadmaps.

• Partner with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations to ensure new products and raw materials are designed for manufacturability, quality, cost optimization, compliance, and operational excellence.

• Lead complex life cycle management projects for innovation, technology transfers, cost reduction, BCP development, manufacturing processes optimization or new technology implementation, ensuring successful transition from development to full-scale manufacturing.

• Lead investigations, root cause analyses, and technical assessments, supporting deviation management, CAPA and troubleshooting through strong and diversified technical principles to drive business decisions based on sound scientific rationale.

• Support manufacturing processes validations, cleaning & sanitization validations and production campaigns development. 

• Work in close collaboration with local, regional and global teams to guarantee compliance, processes harmonization and leverage of best practices across manufacturing sites in Kenvue networking.

• Act as the technical authority for product, process, and equipment changes, supporting audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.

• Manage expenses related to execution of innovation and life cycle management projects and report progress to Technical Operations regional leader.

• Represent the region in strategic planning discussions, including Three-Year Operating Plan (3YOP) activities, while partnering closely with Global Development and Innovation teams.

• Mentor and develop process science talents, building organizational capabilities and promoting best practices adoption.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering or correlated areas is required 

• Solid experience within the pharmaceutical or related industry.

• Advanced English is required.

• Strong experience with pharmaceutical or related industry processes and systems including product development, validation, technology transfer and life-cycle management of products

• Experience in technical writing, cGMP´s, ANVISA / COFEPRIS / FDA / ICH regulations

• Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements in Brazil (it is a plus previous experience with ICH, FDA, etc.)

• Knowledge in statistics (DOE, process capability, control charts, etc)

• Demonstrated leadership skills to align multi-functional team members on delivering project commitments

• Ability to manage complexity and to work collaboratively with critical stakeholders at local, regional and global levels.

Desired Qualifications

• Working experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes development is preferred

• Desired to be a critical thinker with problem solving skills

• Intermediate Spanish will be considered a differential

• Good communication, organizational, interpersonal and influencing skills.

• Previous experience with people development is desired
