Principal Program Manager – WXP FedRAMP

Description -

HP is transforming enterprise device and workplace management through WXP, HP's strategic control plane for enterprise device, fleet, collaboration, and managed service experiences. As HP expands into highly regulated environments, FedRAMP represents a critical strategic investment enabling secure, compliant solutions for government and regulated industry customers.

We are seeking an experienced Principal Program Manager to lead the cross-functional delivery of the WXP FedRAMP Program. This role is responsible for orchestrating planning, execution, governance, and delivery across multiple organizations to achieve FedRAMP authorization and establish a scalable compliance operating model supporting WXP PC, WXP Print, Collaboration, and Managed Services capabilities.

This leader will serve as the central point of coordination across Engineering, Product, Security, Compliance, Operations, Cloud Infrastructure, external auditors, and strategic partners. They will drive alignment, remove execution barriers, manage dependencies, and ensure program objectives are delivered on schedule, within budget, and with the rigor expected of a highly regulated environment.

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous, complex environments and has a proven track record leading large-scale enterprise transformation, compliance, cloud, or cybersecurity programs that require executive engagement and cross-organizational influence.

Responsibilities

Strategic Program Leadership

  • Own end-to-end program execution for the WXP FedRAMP initiative.

  • Develop and maintain the integrated program roadmap across product, engineering, compliance, security, operations, and partner workstreams.

  • Establish program governance structures, executive reporting rhythms, and decision-making frameworks.

  • Drive alignment across business, product, engineering, and operational stakeholders.

  • Translate strategic objectives into executable plans and measurable outcomes.

Cross-Organizational Coordination

  • Lead coordination across multiple organizations with shared ownership and dependencies.

  • Facilitate planning and execution across WXP PC, WXP Print, Collaboration, Managed Services, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams.

  • Ensure clear accountability, ownership, escalation paths, and RACI alignment across workstreams.

  • Drive resolution of cross-functional issues, resource conflicts, and competing priorities.

Compliance & Certification Delivery

  • Partner with Security, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and external assessment organizations to support FedRAMP authorization activities.

  • Coordinate activities related to security controls, audit readiness, SSP development, evidence collection, POA&M management, and compliance remediation.

  • Track certification readiness and drive closure of compliance gaps.

  • Ensure compliance activities are integrated into engineering and release planning processes.

Executive Communications & Governance

  • Prepare executive-level status updates, risk assessments, decision papers, and investment recommendations.

  • Provide visibility into program health, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource requirements.

  • Lead executive reviews, steering committees, and stakeholder communications.

  • Enable informed decision-making through data-driven reporting and clear recommendations.

Risk & Dependency Management

  • Identify, quantify, and mitigate program risks and delivery constraints.

  • Manage interdependencies across internal teams, cloud providers, external partners, and assessment organizations.

  • Develop mitigation and contingency plans for critical program risks.

  • Establish transparent issue escalation mechanisms.

Operational Excellence

  • Define and implement scalable program management practices supporting long-term FedRAMP operations.

  • Improve planning, forecasting, capacity management, and execution visibility.

  • Drive repeatable governance models that support future regulated offerings and compliance programs.

Experience & Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience leading complex enterprise-scale programs.

  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, product, operations, and executive stakeholders.

  • Experience leading highly regulated, compliance-driven, cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or digital transformation initiatives.

  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills.

  • Proven ability to drive outcomes across organizations without direct authority.

  • Experience managing large integrated plans, budgets, dependencies, and risk portfolios.

Preferred

  • Experience with FedRAMP, DoD IL4/IL5, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or related compliance frameworks.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GovCloud environments.

  • Experience partnering with external auditors, compliance assessors, or certification bodies.

  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Agile, or equivalent program management certifications.

  • Experience in enterprise SaaS, platform, cloud, cybersecurity, or digital workplace solutions.

Success Measures

Within the first 12 months, this leader will:

  • Establish a scalable governance model for WXP FedRAMP delivery.

  • Create and maintain a unified integrated program plan across all participating organizations.

  • Drive alignment of product, engineering, compliance, and operational workstreams.

  • Increase executive visibility into risks, dependencies, milestones, and investment needs.

  • Deliver measurable progress toward WXP FedRAMP authorization readiness.

  • Build a repeatable operating model that can be leveraged across future HP regulated offerings.
