Mission critical projects are land‑intensive developments that create unique geotechnical challenges, such as major grade changes, heavily loaded structures, complex below‑grade utility and duct bank networks, and fast‑paced construction schedules. Their speed and complexity demand close oversight to quickly identify and resolve issues, reduce risk for all stakeholders, and provide the technical expertise needed to exceed client expectations.

  • Coordinate with regional operations to effectively coordinate staff, resources, and workloads.
  • Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Support client relationships to effectively achieve power, renewables, and mission critical market-sector goals and strategies.
  • Must be action oriented, able to effectively/efficiently manage time, and able to learn quickly.

Essential Field Duties:

  • Conduct geological field investigations, including mapping, sampling, and logging.

  • Analyze rock, soil, groundwater, and geophysical data.

  • Prepare technical reports, maps, and cross-sections.

  • Support renewables and mission critical projects.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform various field activities on geotechnical projects including, but not limited to, pile load testing, field electrical resistivity testing, and soil logging.

  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of pile load testing (PLT) procedure.

  • Communicate with members of the team on project progress and issues that arise.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong organization and customer service skills.
  • Ability to exceed client expectations while thriving in a time critical / dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and communicate project budgets

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering field, or Geology required.
