    New Orleans Physician Services (NOPS), part of LCMC Health, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Primary Care Physician to join our growing practice in Marrero, Louisiana. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who is passionate about preventive care, chronic disease management, and building long-term relationships with patients and families.

    As a Primary Care Physician, you will play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of the community by delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care in a collaborative outpatient setting. You'll be supported by an experienced clinical team and a health system committed to providing extraordinary care.

    Responsibilities

    Patient Care

    • Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic care.
    • Perform routine physical examinations, wellness visits, and health screenings.
    • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions.
    • Develop personalized treatment plans that support long-term health outcomes.
    • Promote disease prevention, health maintenance, and healthy lifestyle choices.
    • Provide immunizations and preventive services in accordance with established guidelines.
    • Respond to patient calls, messages, and care needs in a timely manner.
    • Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation and medical records.
    • Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent and emergent clinical situations.
    • Observe and report signs of abuse, neglect, or other concerns in accordance with organizational policies.

    Patient Access & Experience

    • Participate in a shared physician call schedule.
    • Support timely access to care and continuity of treatment.
    • Foster strong patient relationships built on trust, communication, and compassion.

    Quality & Safety

    • Maintain compliance with safety, infection prevention, quality, and regulatory standards.
    • Adhere to evidence-based clinical practices and organizational policies.
    • Promote a safe, clean, and patient-centered environment.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and experience.

    Leadership & Collaboration

    • Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nurses, specialists, and care teams to deliver coordinated care.
    • Serve as a trusted clinical resource and advocate for patients.
    • Support organizational initiatives focused on quality, patient satisfaction, and operational excellence.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.

    Training

    • Completion of an accredited Residency Program in:
      • Family Medicine
      • Internal Medicine
      • Internal Medicine/Pediatrics (Med-Peds)

    Licensure & Certifications

    • Current or eligible Louisiana Medical License through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med-Peds.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
    • Eligibility for medical staff membership and clinical privileges.
