As a Quality Inspector, you will help ensure parts are produced and inspected to established specifications and quality standards. This role supports day-to-day production by helping maintain quality, identify issues early, and contribute to smooth manufacturing operations through careful, consistent execution.
Responsibilities
- Operate production presses safely and efficiently according to work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Load and unload materials or components into press machines as required.
- Inspect parts during and after production for defects, damage, proper dimensions, and overall quality.
- Use inspection tools, gauges, and measuring equipment as required.
- Identify, separate, and report defective or nonconforming parts.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections according to quality requirements.
- Monitor press operation and report machine malfunctions or production issues to the supervisor.
- Complete production records, inspection sheets, and other required documentation accurately.
- Maintain production rates while meeting quality and safety standards.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper machine guarding and lockout/tagout requirements when applicable.
- Keep the workstation, equipment, and surrounding area clean and organized.
- Follow company policies, quality procedures, and instructions from supervisors.
- Assist with material handling, packaging, and other production duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous manufacturing, press operation, or quality inspection experience preferred.
Basic math skills and the ability to read measurements preferred.
Ability to use basic inspection tools and measuring instruments preferred.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Available to work 2nd Shift - 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM or 3rd Shift - 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
Available for mandatory overtime when required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
Ability to lift and move materials within company weight limits.
Ability to bend, reach, and handle production parts safely.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
