Power BI Developer with SQL Queries & DAX : Bangalore

About the Team

The CTO BI Development & Reporting team is responsible for developing and supporting enterprise BI and reporting solutions, including Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL-based data integration, and executive dashboards. We partner across global teams to deliver reliable reporting, automation, data integration, and ongoing production support.

Your key responsibilities

• The position works primarily with Microsoft Power BI, SQL-based data sources, Power Query/M, DAX, semantic models, and Microsoft Fabric/Lakehouse technologies.
• The Administrator Senior, Systems role is responsible for developing, enhancing, supporting, and maintaining enterprise business intelligence and reporting solutions.
• The role partners with business stakeholders, data owners, and technical teams to deliver reporting solutions, validate data, troubleshoot issues, and support reporting applications through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• The position supports both executive-facing and operational reporting and requires strong technical troubleshooting, data analysis, documentation, and communication

What you bring

• 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Power BI or comparable enterprise BI/reporting solutions.
• Strong experience developing and supporting Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Experience developing solutions using DAX.
• Strong SQL skills, including querying, joins, data validation, troubleshooting, and analysis.
• Experience with Power Query/M and data transformation.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including relationships, dimensional modeling, and designing data structures for effective reporting and analytics.
• Experience working with Power BI semantic models and multiple enterprise data sources.
• Strong report and UI dashboard design skills, with an emphasis on usability, consistency, and effective data visualization.
• Experience implementing and supporting Power BI security, including row-level security and appropriate access controls.
• Experience troubleshooting data refresh, transformation, mapping, data-type, calculation, and data-quality issues.
• Understanding of development, UAT, testing, and production deployment processes.
• Ability to analyze issues across both the underlying data layer and Power BI/reporting layer.
• Experience optimizing Power BI reports, semantic models, DAX, and data transformations for performance and usability.
