Why we're looking:
We are expanding and seeking experienced Senior HFT Traders or Portfolio Managers to join our team and help drive the success of our trading operations Asia.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in high-frequency trading and portfolio management, with a deep understanding of financial markets and the ability to make informed and timely decisions.
What you'll be working on:
- Developing and executing high-frequency or intraday trading strategies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Managing and optimising trading algorithms and systems, utilising quantitative analysis to identify and capitalise on market opportunities
- Collaborating closely with our trading, research, and technology teams to develop and refine trading models and strategies
- Monitoring market conditions and adjust trading strategies as necessary to stay ahead of changing trends and dynamics
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in risk management
We'd love for you to have:
- Professional experience in high-frequency trading or portfolio management, with a strong track record of success, with a P&L of > USD 5mm/year
- Own or operate successful alphas/strategies, and be willing to bring them over to Grasshopper
- Experience with index roll or index arb strats may be considered
- Deep knowledge of financial markets and trading technology, with experience trading in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, USA CME Futures, Australia, Taiwan or India.
- Candidates with professional trading experience in Hong Kong, China and Korea may also be considered
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to use data and models to drive trading decisions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex trading strategies and market insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
