The Opportunity:

As the Plant Communications Coordinator, you will operate the Central Telephone Switchboard for the Facilities Services, Operations Department. You will receive maintenance calls and work requests and refers to parties within the department. In this position, you will prepare and expedite all work order requests, etc. as well as operate two-way radio communications. Additionally, you will produce multiple Maintenance Reports and keep Maintenance department statistics.

50% FTE

Monday & Friday; 6am-4:30pm

Additional Information:

This is a part time (50% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary: $2,203 - $2,964 Monthly (at 50% FTE) | Range 48 | Steps A-M | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School graduation or equivalent AND one year of experience in some aspect of shop related work to provide general familiarity with repair and maintenance activities; OR equivalent education/experience. 

  • May fill-in/relief for other shifts during the workweek as necessary. 

  • Experience in using computers. 

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year clerical experience.
