Physical Therapist – Orthopedic Practice

Full-Time | New Brunswick, NJ

Position Details

Salary: $90K–$100K per year, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
Patient Expectations: Approximately 1–2 patients per hour
Practice Setting: Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapy Office

About This Position

This opportunity is intended for a Physical Therapist with outpatient experience who is comfortable overseeing the full rehabilitation process.

Patients may present with post-surgical limitations, joint injuries, muscle weakness, restricted movement, or difficulty returning to work and normal activities. You will assess their current function, determine an appropriate clinical approach, and make adjustments as they progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient history and current functional concerns
• Complete orthopedic and musculoskeletal examinations
• Determine treatment priorities based on objective findings
• Create patient-specific rehabilitation programs
• Provide progressive therapeutic exercise
• Incorporate manual interventions when indicated
• Monitor functional gains throughout the episode of care
• Modify treatment strategies when appropriate
• Provide clear instructions for home-based rehabilitation
• Complete all required clinical documentation

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapist (PT) License
• DPT Degree or MSPT Degree
• Previous outpatient experience
• Experience managing orthopedic cases
• Ability to work effectively within a clinical team
