Job Description Summary

Clements Ferry Medical Pavilion Ambulatory Infusion - Ambulatory Infusion; Assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Prepares hazardous and non-hazardous doses in accordance to USP 797 standards. Receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department.

Additional Job Description

Education: High School Degree or Equivalent

Work Experience: 2 years
Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP)is required and must be maintained. Must obtain and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT)) certification:

Team members as of 11/1/2023: within 1 year of 11/1/2023.
New Team members as of 11/1/2023: within 6 months of hire.
New team members who are enrolled or will enroll in a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and/or recognized by PTCB, have 30 days post program completion to obtain certification.
