The Pharmacy Tech Buyer I has primary responsibility for managing the wholesale drug distribution procurement for our pharmacies and/or clinics. This co-worker also assists in the inventory management in overall drug purchasing and inventory control processes for the hospital, clinic and/or pharmacy. This co-worker maintains complete records, processes invoices in a timely manner. Performs related duties as assigned.Position Details:

What You'll Do
- Manage medication purchasing and procurement through wholesale and direct suppliers
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust stock to meet patient care needs
- Coordinate special orders and hard-to-find medications
- Assist with controlled substance ordering and compliance documentation
- Process invoices, credits, rebates, and purchasing records
- Track medication shortages and communicate availability updates
- Generate inventory and usage reports
- Support pharmacy inventory audits and physical inventories
- Collaborate with pharmacy leaders, buyers, and healthcare teams to ensure efficient operations
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal departments and pharmacy stakeholders
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active Pharmacy Technician registration (or ability to obtain by first day of employment)
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience
- Ability to obtain Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB within 6 months of hire
