About the Company
Why We Built Lyric: Supply chains are more critical and complex than ever. Every day, large enterprises navigate trillions of possible decisions that could impact the bottom line. Powerful algorithms and AI can address these problems, yet most organizations struggle to leverage supply chain AI at scale. The current SCM technologies are either rigid, limited-scope point solutions or custom solutions built in-house, which demand immense expertise and investment.
That is…until now.
Enter Lyric: Lyric is an enterprise AI platform built specifically for supply chains, offering the best of both worlds:
Out-of-the-box AI solutions for optimizing networks, allocating inventory, scheduling routes, planning fulfillment capacity, promising orders, propagating demand, building predictions, analyzing scenarios, and more, plus
A platform-first approach that empowers both business and technical users with end-to-end product composability, leveraging no-code tools, their own code, or even forking our code to build and refine supply chain decision intelligence
With Lyric, enterprises no longer have to choose between flexibility and speed, they get both.
The Mission: We’re building a new era in supply chain with the team best equipped to lead it. With over 20 years at the intersection of supply chain and algorithms, we developed a deep conviction that global supply chains needed something like Lyric. Since our inception in December 2021, that conviction has been validated time and time again.
Today, a growing number of Fortune 500 companies, including Smurfit WestRock, Estée Lauder, Coca-Cola, and more, are innovating on their own terms with Lyric. We can’t wait to see what our customers, both current and future, are empowered to build with us next. Come build with us!
At Lyric, we’re building an AI-powered platform that helps businesses solve complex supply chain problems. As we grow, we’re looking for a People Partner who can help build the teams, practices, and everyday employee experience that support that growth.
About the role
This is a broad, hands-on role combining people partnership with operational ownership. You’ll work closely with India’s leadership team, particularly R&D, and our global People team to understand what the business needs, translate that into practical solutions, and see them through.
We’re looking for someone who brings structure to ambiguity, builds trust across levels, and moves comfortably between a conversation about team effectiveness and the operational details needed to make things work.
The first six months will be heavily focused on execution: strengthening day-to-day People operations, supporting performance management, improving role clarity, and creating a consistent employee experience. You’ll need sound judgment, curiosity about the business, and a willingness to step into whatever needs attention.
What you’ll own
Build reliable People operations. Own and improve employee lifecycle processes, from onboarding through transitions and exits. Make sure employees receive clear answers, timely support, and consistent follow-through.
Help managers lead effectively. Partner with leaders on expectations, feedback, team dynamics, and performance conversations. Build practical habits around one-on-ones, accountability, and development.
Drive performance management execution. Work with the global People team and India leaders to roll out performance practices, support managers through the process, and turn discussions into meaningful follow-up.
Create organizational clarity. Help map teams, clarify roles and responsibilities, and keep people practices aligned as the organization evolves.
Stay close to employees. Build relationships across the India team, understand what’s happening on the ground, and surface concerns early. Handle sensitive conversations with discretion, empathy, and good judgment.
Connect teams and close gaps. Work across leadership, employees, Talent, Finance, and the global People team to resolve issues and keep work moving.
Build for scale. Identify recurring friction and create simple, sustainable processes that improve the employee experience without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
What you’ll bring
Around 6–8 years of relevant experience across People, HR, or broader operations, with meaningful exposure to both employee-facing work and hands-on execution.
Experience in a growing technology business, ideally a global organization that has scaled from a few hundred employees to a significantly larger team.
The ability to earn credibility with engineering and product leaders by understanding their work, asking thoughtful questions, and offering practical judgment.
Evidence of building or improving processes, solving unclear problems, and owning outcomes through completion.
Comfort working with incomplete information: you can identify what matters, make a reasoned recommendation, and adapt as you learn.
Strong communication, discretion, and the confidence to challenge constructively while maintaining trust.
A willingness to handle the details yourself. You care about whether the problem gets solved, including when it falls between established responsibilities.
The ability to work in-office in Bengaluru, staying closely connected to our India team.
Experience moving from HR or Talent into a broader operating role would be especially relevant. We’re interested in what you’ve built, the situations you’ve navigated, and how you think.
What success looks like
Within your first six months, employees know they can rely on you, managers have a trusted partner, and day-to-day People processes run consistently. Performance practices are being used, roles and expectations are clearer, and emerging issues reach the right people early—with thoughtful recommendations and follow-through.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape how People works at Lyric as we scale, with direct access to leaders and ownership of work that employees experience every day.
