Team mission

Our People Services team powers the employee experience by facilitating change and helping navigate the moments that matter. We achieve this by providing efficient, knowledgeable, and reliable service to employees throughout their entire GetYourGuide journey, ensuring a compliant and empathetic approach. To support us on this journey, we are seeking a dedicated People Operations Specialist to support our APAC employees. In this role, you'll be constantly learning and face new challenges daily, enabling you to enhance your HR skills and expertise across diverse areas of interest. This role is based in Bangkok, and reports into our central People Operations team in Berlin, Germany.

Your mission

• Be the go-to People Operations contact for our APAC* employees, advising on local HR processes across the employee lifecycle - including onboarding/ offboarding, relocation and visa support, benefits administration, and coordination with local legal and tax advisors.
• Champion operational efficiency by designing and maintaining sustainable, user-friendly, and effective HR processes that ensure local regulatory compliance and labor law requirements.
• Act as a liaison between employees and leadership in APAC, and our central business teams in Germany, ensuring smooth communication and alignment.
• Support low-performance management processes, including Performance Improvement Plans and resulting actions (i.e. separations, severance, offboarding) together with our centralized People Relations team.
• Provide support in resolving employment legal matters related to misconduct investigations, employee grievances, crisis management, and other employment law matters.
• Oversee APAC office operations focusing on Bangkok, including coordinating catering, F&B arrangements and managing office vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with People Team stakeholders - such as People Partners, Payroll, People Relations, and People Systems - to deliver a seamless employee experience aligned with GetYourGuide's People strategy.

Your toolkit

• You are an HR manager or generalist with a university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
• You bring at least 4-5 years of experience in People Operations (HR) within a dynamic, fast-paced and international environment.
• You are Fluent in English and Thai, both written and spoken, and comfortable communicating with stakeholders across different cultures and time zones.
• In-depth knowledge of Thai labor law and collaboration with external lawyers; labor law and immigration knowledge for our other APAC regions is a big plus.
• Experience with HRIS (preferably Workday), ticketing systems such as Jira (Service Desk) and Google Suite.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills: a people-oriented individual who understands employee needs and can effectively guide diverse stakeholders.
• You are highly organized, can manage priorities across multiple stakeholders and locations, and are comfortable reprioritizing in a high-velocity environment.
