We’re now hiring the team that will define this category.

About the Role

We are seeking a People Operations Generalist who leads with curiosity and thrives with real independence. People Operations at Ent is a team of one today, and there’s a lot still to build. We own the HR tech stack, the policies, the processes, and the employee experience end to end, across the US, UK, and Canada. Onboarding, offboarding, documentation, and program infrastructure are all being built from the ground up.

What You’ll Achieve (Responsibilities)

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions across Slack, email, and ticketing, and build the resources that let employees answer more of those questions themselves

• Own onboarding end to end, from pre-boarding logistics through the first 90 days, and iterate on it every cycle

• Run offboarding, including exit interviews, and turn what you hear into insights leadership can act on

• Support our HRIS (HiBob) as system administrator, including data integrity, workflows, permissions, and reporting

• Support global benefits and perks across the US, UK, and Canada, including open enrollment, vendor relationships, and our Employer of Record partnership

• Keep us compliant across three countries, including I-9 verifications, employment documentation, and jurisdiction-specific requirements

• Maintain and champion People policies

• Build and grow our internal resource hub so that self-service becomes the default, not the exception

• Identify where AI and automation can replace manual work, then build and document those workflows for the team

• Turn one-off requests into repeatable processes, so the function scales faster than the headcount does

What You’ll Bring (Requirements)

• San Francisco. Onsite, or within commuting distance and in the SF office on a regular (though flexible) basis, e.g. 2 to 3 days a week.

• 2-4 years of experience in People Operations, HR coordination, or employee programs

• Demonstrated ownership of operational HR workflows such as leave of absence, accommodations, onboarding, or offboarding

• Working knowledge of HR systems (HiBob, SequoiaOS, Checkr, Carta) and comfort learning new tools

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including employee-facing documentation and internal HR communications

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple programs, timelines, and stakeholders

• A service-minded approach and ability to handle sensitive situations with care, discretion, and confidentiality

• Curiosity and a mindset of continuous improvement — always looking for ways to make things simpler, clearer and more scalable!
