The Payroll Specialist for the Nordics region, with Finnish and Swedish language owns and delivers end‑to‑end payroll execution for assigned countries or regions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls. The Payroll Specialist serves as a subject‑matter expert for payroll operations, supports complex statutory and system requirements, and plays a key role in harmonization, escalation management, and continuous improvement across EMEA.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Process multi-country payrolls with precision and timeliness. Ensure compliance with country, regional, and local payroll regulations. Manage off-cycle payments, adjustments, and final pay calculations. Prepare and submit required filings and reports
- Validate and correct payroll data prior to processing. Escalate and resolve payroll discrepancies and serve as escalation point for Senior Payroll Analysts and Payroll Analysts. Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities. Interpret payroll policies across jurisdictions.
- Maintain and audit employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, benefits, and direct deposits. Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate on payroll system upgrades, integrations, and configuration to ensure regional consistency. Support the rollout of standardized payroll workflows across the EMEA region.
- Support documentation and implementation of standardized payroll procedures. Provide input on harmonization milestones and system enhancements.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Human Resources
- At least 5 years of experience processing complex payroll, in a multi-country environment.
- Strong end‑to‑end payroll expertise, including complex calculations and statutory requirements.
- Ability to independently manage priorities and make sound decisions.
- Confidence in handling escalations and sensitive payroll matters.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Language capability mandatory: English and Finnish and Swedish
- Advanced experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, SAP, or similar.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with employees and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot payroll issues and implement solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-country operational environment.
