As a Payments Analyst I, II, or III your role is pivotal in ensuring timely and accurate processing of various back office operational functions to ensure seamless execution and delivery of consumer and business payment services for WSECU members. In  this role you’ll be providing phone, chat and email support to members and coworkers for operational, technical and service-related needs. You’ll be responsible for handling and following up to member and employee inquiries related to payment services. You’ll be providing operational and technical support to internal and external members for ACH, Zelle, check processing, Mobile Deposit, Bill Pay, Peer to Peer P2P, Digital Currency, Wire Processing, GL Balancing, Loan Payments and oversight and maintenance related to our core processing system, Symitar. Your day may include:

• Performing general ledger (GL) balancing, reconciliation, and research functions related to payment operations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies and maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
• Performing a variety of support, maintenance, monitoring, and operational tasks to ensure the effective delivery of Payment Systems Department functions and services.
• Proactively prioritizing, reprioritizing, and adjusting daily workflows and responsibilities based on changing business needs, operational demands, deadlines, and emerging issues.
• Demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when processing transactions, balancing accounts, reviewing reports, maintaining records, and resolving exceptions.
• Participating in business line networks, user groups, and cross-functional initiatives while upholding credit union standards for information sharing and collaboration.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiencies, and enhance controls within department operations, partnering with leaders to evaluate and implement solutions when feasible.

Competitive pay for Payments Analyst I: $21.50 - $32.25 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications plus an annual discretionary incentive plan

• The target starting pay for this position is $21.50 - $26.87 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a financial institution with preference given for experience in a back office operating area
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in customer service, data and/or transaction analysis
• Working knowledge of Reg D, E, NACHA rules and the Bank Secrecy Act
• Computer experience including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Share Point and PDF Technologies
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze information and form recommendations

For Payments Analyst II

Competitive pay for Payments Analyst II: $24.05 - $36.07 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications plus an annual discretionary incentive plan

• The target starting pay for this position is $24.05 - $30.06 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a financial institution with preference given for experience in a back office operating area
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in customer service, data and/or transaction analysis
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience handling escalated and emotionally charged calls
• Working knowledge of Reg D, E, NACHA rules and the Bank Secrecy Act
• Computer experience including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Share Point and PDF Technologies
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze information and form recommendations

For Payments Analyst III

Competitive pay for Payments Analyst III: $27.25 - $40.88 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications plus an annual discretionary incentive plan

• The target starting pay for this position is $27.25 - $34.06 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in a similar role
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a financial institution with (3) years’ experience in a similar role
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience processing ACH, Drafts, Electronic and Bill Payments
• Computer experience including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Share Point and PDF Technologies
• Advanced knowledge in Regulation D, Regulation E
• Working knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and NACHA rules
• Advanced experience with use of Symitar, Application Enhancer and Federal Reserve
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze information and form recommendations

Where we’re located: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA.  Employees must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite three (2) occasions per week.

When you’d work: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm, full time minimum 40 hours per week with scheduling flexibility to meet service needs for this non-exempt position
