What You Will Do

The Patriot Software Engineering Department is looking for talented software engineers to assist with the development of cybersecure operating systems and Linux based installers. As a Software Engineer II, you will play a key role in developing installation software for the Patriot Tactical Computing Platforms. Working onsite, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver reliable and innovative software solutions for complex systems.

 

• Design, develop, and maintain installation software for the Patriot Tactical Computing Platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets system requirements and integrates seamlessly.
• Work in an Agile development environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Utilize tools such as the Atlassian Suite and Git for project management and version control.
• Perform software development, testing, and integration using Python programming language
• Develop and refine software for Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Ensure compliance with security requirements for classified projects.

 

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Experience with tools such as the Atlassian Suite and Git.
• Experience with software development, testing, and integration utilizing Python
• Experience working with Linux or Windows operating systems.
• The ability to obtain and maintain an Interim U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

 

Qualifications We Prefer

• Active secret security clearance
• Experience with requirements-driven software development.
• Experience with software development, testing, and integration in C++ and Java
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with application installers.
• Experience working with InstallShield.
• Experience Deploying Operating Systems complying with cybersecurity requirements.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
