Located on the southeastern coast of the pristine island of Lāna’i, lies the secluded retreat of Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i, an oceanfront destination offering travelers a curated, personalized island escape. The five-star, five-diamond Resort offers outdoor restaurants, including Nobu Lāna’i, a kid’s club, Tennis Garden, cultural programming, beach and pool with spacious seating areas nestled among tropical gardens, Hawanawana spa and luxury retail boutiques. Built on lava outcroppings, the award-winning Jack Nicklaus-signature golf course features ocean views on every hole. PASTRY COOK III 

The Four Seasons Resorts Lāna’i is looking for a Pastry Cook III who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

The Pastry Cook III prepares and presents high-quality breads, pastries, desserts, ice creams, sorbets, chocolates, and specialty showpieces based on guest orders and banquet requirements. Ensure all items meet established production standards and quality expectations while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:     

• Prepare and produce high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods in accordance with established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines while maintaining proper mise en place and station readiness 

• Independently manage an assigned pastry or bakery station, ensuring efficient production, consistent quality, and timely execution of service requirements 

• Operate, maintain, and properly clean pastry and bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers, dough sheeters, proofers, steamers, food processors, and slicers 

• Monitor inventory, par levels, and product freshness by following proper labeling, dating, stock rotation, storage, and temperature-control procedures 

• Anticipate production needs, prepare items in advance as appropriate, and minimize waste through effective product utilization and food cost control practices 

• Identify inventory shortages, support ordering needs, and maintain proper storage of all ingredients and finished products in accordance with company standards 

• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment, ensuring compliance with sanitation, safety, and operational standards at all times

WHAT TO BRING 

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States 

• The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required. 

• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card   

• Hawaii Food Handler’s Card and ServSafe is required for this role 

• Hawaii Driver’s License/Drivers Abstract is preferred    

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
