Job Description Summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Partner to join our Asset Services team in Birmingham. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity with accountability for a significant national property portfolio and responsibility for delivering exceptional client outcomes, driving business growth, and supporting the long-term success of the wider division.

This person will be responsible for managing one or more national or local accounts, including providing timely, consistent, and accurate flow of information required to operate the portfolio in order to meet the client’s and company objectives. Act as a point of contact for integrating service platform for the client, as well as ensuring that accounting practices are sound and consistently applied. Provide the general and financial information required for other members of the management team to make informed decisions and to carry out their operating responsibilities.

Job Description

The Partner holds overall accountability for a key strategic instruction for the Asset Services business. The role is responsible for delivering outstanding business results while contributing to the organisation’s strategic objectives. Operating with a broad scope of influence, the Partner applies advanced expertise, commercial judgement, and leadership capability across complex and varied activities, driving sustainable growth, performance, and service excellence.

The Partner will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of our full scope of property management services, developing strong and trusted client relationships, whilst capturing all opportunities across the wider business. The Partner will be responsible for a national portfolio and over time a fund with c. £2bn AUM. In addition to this role, the Partner will be expected to fully participate in supporting the growth and enablement of the wider division.

As a senior member of the team, the Partner will be expected to have a wide network of client contacts and contribute fully to new business generation, pitch writing and presentations, to support the departments ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take overall accountability for the performance of people, projects, and financial outcomes, with a strong focus on bottom‑line results. 

  • Lead and shape strategic direction within their area, maintaining a broad understanding of business priorities and adapting plans as needs evolve.

  • Drive business growth through new business generation, cross‑selling, and sharing opportunities across geographies, service lines, and functions. 

  • Provide strategic and commercial leadership, using experience, analysis, and market insight to inform decision‑making.

  • Build a culture of service excellence, benchmarking best practice and continuously improving service delivery for clients and stakeholders.

  • Advise clients and stakeholders on industry and market challenges, leveraging expertise across the business to solve complex problems.

  • Identify and remove barriers to implementing process improvements and organisational change. 

  • Act as a role model for organisational values, demonstrating consistency between words and actions and considering the broader organisational impact of decisions. 

  • Lead teams through ambiguity, change, and challenge, positioning change as an opportunity for learning and growth.

  • Attract, engage, develop, and retain high‑performing and diverse talent; set clear expectations and provide ongoing performance and development feedback.

Knowledge:

  • Experienced property manager, throughout the full lifecycle of real estate, from development, mobilisation, fit out and BAU.

  • Experienced in managing complex mixed-use schemes, significant office assets, industrial estates and retail parks.

  • Confident to identify and execute added value initiatives.

  • Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to gain buy‑in and inspire action at senior levels.

  • Strong decision‑making capability, drawing on experience, insight, and analysis.

  • Ability to identify innovative solutions to complex challenges and drive continuous improvement.

  • Inclusive leadership style that values diverse perspectives and fosters collaboration across teams, geographies, and functions.

  • Strong strategic leadership and commercial acumen, with the ability to balance short‑term performance and long‑term objectives.

  • Proven ability to lead teams or multiple functions through complexity, change, and uncertainty.

Experience:

  • Leadership experience within a professional services, advisory, or comparable business environment.

  • Demonstrated experience leading business performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and people outcomes.

  • Experience developing and executing strategic initiatives aligned to organisational objectives.

  • Proven track record of client leadership, advising on complex issues and delivering high‑value outcomes.

  • Experience building, leading, and developing high‑performing teams across multiple disciplines or locations.
