Part Time Special Needs Caregiver – Menlo Park, CA

A welcoming family in Menlo Park, CA 94025 is seeking a structured, energetic, and reliable long-term caregiver to support their two smart, active sons (ages 9 and 11) and on the autism spectrum on Saturdays.

Schedule:

• Saturdays only
• Preferred hours: 11:30 AM – 9:30 PM (10 hours per day; family is flexible on exact timing)

Family Specifications:

• Household focused on providing a supportive, engaging environment for two energetic boys on the autism spectrum
• Values a caregiver who excels at maintaining structure, planning meaningful activities, and offering attentive supervision

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct supervision and continuous care for two boys (9 and 11) on the autism spectrum
• Implement structured daily routines and engaging, positive activities tailored to their interests
• Utilize positive behavior management strategies and offer redirection as needed
• Assist with basic meal prep and light routine care during shift hours

Requirements:

• Proven experience in special education or direct experience working with children on the autism spectrum and/or with special needs
• Strong understanding of autism spectrum care, routine maintenance, and behavioral support

Compensation:

• $32-36 per hour (commensurate with experience)
