The Paid Media Associate, Core will support the planning, activation, monitoring and reporting of paid media campaigns across On Location’s Core portfolio of events and experiences. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Paid Media, this role will be responsible for the accurate and timely flighting of assigned ads and ad sets, maintaining campaign hygiene, monitoring delivery and performance, and turning campaign data into clear, actionable reporting.
This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented paid media professional who is comfortable working across multiple campaigns, platforms, audiences and deadlines. The ideal candidate can execute carefully within established campaign plans, identify issues early, and communicate clearly with the Paid Media, Marketing, Creative, Analytics and agency teams.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign activation and flighting
Build, launch, pause, schedule and update assigned ads and ad sets in approved paid media platforms.
Apply campaign briefs, audience definitions, budgets, flight dates, creative specifications, naming conventions and tracking requirements accurately.
Manage day-to-day flighting across assigned campaigns, including changes to budgets, dates, creative, audiences, placements and delivery settings as directed.
Complete pre-launch and in-flight QA checks across campaign settings, creative, links, landing pages, UTMs, pixels and conversion events.
Confirm that ads are delivering as intended and escalate disapprovals, delivery issues, tracking concerns or performance anomalies promptly.
Maintain accurate campaign documentation, change logs and status updates.
Monitoring and optimization support
Monitor spend, pacing, impressions, reach, clicks, CTR, CPC, leads, CPL, purchases, revenue, ROAS and other campaign KPIs.
Identify under-delivery, overspend, creative fatigue, audience issues, tracking gaps and other risks that may affect campaign performance.
Make approved optimizations within defined guardrails and provide recommendations to the Paid Media Manager for larger strategic or budget decisions.
Support audience, creative and placement testing by ensuring tests are set up correctly and results are tracked consistently.
Coordinate with external media partners and agencies as needed to resolve delivery, trafficking, reporting or implementation issues.
Reporting and insights
Produce accurate weekly and ad-hoc paid media reports for Core campaigns, events and stakeholders.
Reconcile platform data, reporting templates and dashboards to ensure metrics are complete, consistent and clearly labeled.
Provide concise commentary on performance trends, pacing, campaign changes, risks and recommended next steps.
Maintain recurring reporting files and contribute to standardized reporting processes across Core paid media.
Support post-campaign reporting and debriefs by compiling performance results, learnings and optimization recommendations.
Cross-functional collaboration
Partner with Marketing team to support campaign launches, ongoing optimization and reporting priorities.
Work with Marketing Managers, Creative, CRM, Ecommerce, Marketing Operations, Analytics, Sales and external agencies to keep campaign inputs and deliverables on track.
Confirm that required creative, copy, landing pages, audiences, approvals and tracking details are available before campaigns launch.
Communicate campaign status, dependencies and issues clearly and proactively.
Contribute to playbooks, process improvements and documentation that make campaign execution more repeatable and scalable.
You Have These
1–3 years of experience in paid media, digital marketing, media operations, campaign trafficking or a related role.
Hands-on experience with at least one major paid media platform, such as Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, TikTok Ads Manager or a programmatic platform.
Working knowledge of paid media fundamentals, including campaign structure, targeting, bidding, pacing, budget management, placements and conversion tracking.
Experience pulling, organizing and interpreting campaign performance data.
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including the ability to work with reporting templates, filters, pivot tables and basic formulas.
Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to QA, naming conventions, documentation and deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain campaign status and performance in a concise way.
A collaborative, proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
We’d Love If You Also Have These
Experience supporting paid media for ecommerce, lead generation, ticketing, hospitality, sports, entertainment or events.
Experience with paid social, paid search, display, video, programmatic or LinkedIn campaigns.
Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, Omni, QuickSight or similar reporting and analytics tools.
Familiarity with UTM conventions, pixels, conversion APIs, CRM audiences, remarketing and first-party audience activation.
Experience working with a media agency or external platform partners.
Interest in using campaign data to improve audience quality, conversion rates, cost efficiency and revenue outcomes.

Assigned campaigns launch accurately and on schedule.
Ads and ad sets are correctly configured, tracked, monitored and documented.
Reporting is timely, accurate, easy to understand and aligned to agreed KPIs.
Pacing, delivery or tracking issues are identified and escalated before they become material problems.
Campaign updates and optimizations are executed cleanly within agreed parameters.
Paid Media and cross-functional partners have clear visibility into campaign status, performance and next steps.
Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the hourly rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience.
