POSITION SPECIFICS
The Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA in the Office of Educational Affairs is seeking a non-tenure line Assistant Professor/PA Program Director . This position would be responsible to provide the leadership, vision, knowledge, and skills necessary to support the Physician Assistant (PA) Program, and oversee the program's strategic plan and design of the curriculum. In addition, possess the skills and experience to oversee the reaccreditation process for the PA program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Proven graduate of an accredited PA program required.
- Master's Degree in an area related to the job requirements required.
- Current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required.
- Licensed, or be eligible for licensure, in Pennsylvania, including prescriptive authority required.
- Three (3) years of patient care experience as a practicing physician assistant in a clinical setting required.
- Three (3) years of academic leadership experience in a university setting required.
- Teaching experience in a university setting required.
- Prior experience in the ARC-PA accreditation process required.
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
