About the role: 

Unison is looking for an Organic Growth Manager to own how homeowners discover us without paid media: through search, AI answer engines, our website, our blog and organic social. You'll set the strategy and do the hands-on work, from technical SEO and schema to content planning, conversion testing and reporting. This senior individual contributor role has direct impact on lead volume for our Equity Sharing Agreement (ESA) product, and is as much about being cited by AI tools like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity as it is about ranking on page one.

This is a hybrid position with the requirement of 3 full days (Tues-Thurs) in our Omaha, NE office. 

Responsibilities: 

Organic search and AI visibility

• Own organic search strategy for unison.com, from keyword and topic research through rankings, traffic and conversion.
• Build Unison's presence in AI answer engines through structured content, schema, entity optimization and citation strategy, and track how often Unison appears in AI-generated answers.
• Lead technical SEO with our web and engineering partners, including site architecture, internal linking, indexation, page speed, and metadata and schema review before pages publish in Webflow.
• Build off-site authority through link acquisition and SEO review of articles placed by our PR partners.

Website, content and organic social

• Own the blog and resource center calendar, including home equity education, product explainers and competitor comparisons, and brief and edit writers for search intent and compliance.
• Refresh, consolidate or redirect declining and overlapping content.
• Partner with paid media on landing pages and run A/B and conversion tests that turn organic visitors into leads.
• Distribute web and blog content through organic social in partnership with communications, with consistent tagging so organic is measured separately from paid.

Measurement and collaboration

• Report on organic KPIs, including traffic, rankings, AI citations, leads and application submits, using GA4, Google Search Console, Semrush and Looker Studio.
• Work with our affiliate, CRM and analytics team to resolve attribution questions across channels.
• Present monthly marketing updates to the Omaha sales team and act as an on-site point of contact for marketing.
• Route all content through legal and compliance review, and manage SEO and content contractors to clear deliverables.

About you:

• 4+ years of experience in SEO or organic growth, with a track record of growing organic traffic and conversions, not just rankings.
• Experience in mortgage, lending, financial services, fintech or another regulated industry strongly preferred.
• Hands-on technical SEO skills, including schema, crawling and indexation, with working knowledge of HTML and CSS. Webflow experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of answer engine optimization (AEO) and how large language models find and cite content.
• A strong writer and editor who can brief content and work within compliance guardrails.
• Proficiency with GA4, Google Search Console, Semrush or Ahrefs, and Looker Studio, plus experience with A/B testing and using AI tools with sound human review.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field, OR equivalent experience.
